The game on Saturday will probably be a major let down, but it's been a great rivalry that reached a new level last night. The Sabres vs. Leafs rivalry is fun; primarily because of the TO fans that come to our arena. But the pure hatred between Buffalo vs. Ottawa is going to be major from now on. BTW - It was just announced that Drury is out indefinitely with a concussion.
I wish Rob Ray would come out of retirement.............

Hit was clean I thought...Drury just took a little too long admiring his shot. I don't think we'll see any suspensions. Ruff is always talking about something, whether it's poor officiating, playing back to back games where the second game is against the leafs or now this. The Sabres will go deep in the play-offs, but I think if they don't at least make it to the conference finals, it's time for a change behind the bench.

    However, they don't consistently suck.

At best, their playing will "barely" get them a playoff spot....and then they'll get their asses whomped in the first round.

I would have agreed with you, but they have consistently sucked for a few yrs now, a few more years of this, and they will be close to the bottom of the barrel along with the leafs. What a sad day for CDN hockey that will be.

There ARE moments when the Habs surprise me. But sadly in the end....they end up prematurely play golf.

BTW...I also miss Salming, Sittler & Macdonald. ;)

Ha ha - spoken like a true Ottawa fan. Clean or not, you take a run like that at the captain of any team, in any league, and you can expect retribution. eye for an eye.
Change behind the bench? I think you need to worry about that extremely successful Bryan Murray first. Sufferin' Succatash!

PS - I also think the game tonight will not live up to the hype.......

A friend of mine from Prince George drove one once, does that count?

A Prince George sports car is the F150, the sports coupe is the F250 and the family sedan is the F350. Work trucks go up from there? :)

I say time for a change as Mr. Ruff has the longest span of coaching the same team among the active coaches...Buffalo has to get that first cup under their belt soon and this year may be the best shot at it much like the sens of last year. You've almost got as long of drought as your pals up the highway!

I can sit here and talk smack all day... ;).

Old thread, but I've got a personal favourite in Calgary. It's a little place on Edmonton Trail (I think) called "Diner Deluxe". They make some of the best food around, it has a really great atmosphere and the prices are good.

Good smack talk, at least! Good game; great rivalry. these two teams need to take a break from each other for a while.
I agree, we need to get a Cup; it will be really frustrating if all these damn injuries prevent us from achieiving the crown. We will see.
    Good luck
