Jon - I know this has been asked before, but I don't remember your answer:

Have you upgraded the e-gear software to the latest versions? From what I understand, BIG difference b/w earlier and later software versions, of which there are multiple iterations.

Hi Vik, nope I didn't do anything to it since. Can they just upgrade the software? Phil did the "F" clutch & the workshop upgraded the software as well. My mileage is just 8800km today so I figured I can live with it for a while longer. There's a trackday next week maybe I'll thin it a little if I go ;)

Does your idle fluctuate on cold start & settle down after a min or two?

BTW, does anyone know anything about the Diablo 6.0? Is it reliable, does it require belt job etc?

I do know an owner who used the Diablo on a daily basis for all things except running it fast in M'sia. Seems to have no problems with the car. Only thing is, the owner is like me, never around half the time to use the car. Don't know about the belts though. Super awesome looking car!

06 and 07 model same engine and transmission.
Going to neutral is a good thing for the clutch.

Why do u need to step on brake pedal hard? Coz I just rest my foot on the brake pedal and it'll keep it in gear...hmmmm

The ceremic brakes are 64k. By the time u put in electric seats at 10k plus shields and color calipers and carbon fibre driving zone and leather headliner and parking sensors you are easily looking at 85k worth of options...

Alternatively, don't bring the car in with the CCM brakes as an option. Buy the brakes from HSM as a seperate aftermarket install... it'll cost you $40k.

    Phil, Jon,
I read on some other Lambo website that installing a Tubi actually reduced the performace of the car. Have anyone of you read this?

Not me but remember I had a copy of AutoItalia? A tuner claimed another make of exhaust did reduce the Bhp but no names mentioned. Anyway, mine came with it & unless we dyno the bugger with & without, impossible to tell. As Vik said 500Bhp is a beast +/- 20 doesn't make much diff to me. Sometimes I get a little heavy footed & the car simply blasts away it scares me a little.

That said, how many of you guys ever dynoed your rides?

ES has extra Tubi in stock... however, I am concerned about the performance issues. So I may go with the new Larini exhaust which they just completed testing 2 weeks ago. This exhaust also no gtee that it will perform better in the low or mid range.

Not my actual car...but a similar car i.e. Gransport based in London. I had the print outs of the before and after ECU upgrade. Yup there was a difference.

Nope, I have not driven the G-car yet. But having read both Lung and your unbiased objective review, your experience have provided me an exciting virtual mental test drive of the bull already.
In short, the Gallardo, F430 and other great rides are endowed with interestingly differing attributes, attitudes, aptitude, aspirations and application. Enjoy the supercar for what it is. I am grateful for the privilege.
    Cheers

Jon - not sure which workshop did this. If ES, then they absolutely should have updated. If an aftermarket shop, then it depends if they have the latest software upgrade. If they upgraded to "F" clutch, then I think you've got the latest clutch / software version. Easy OBD plug to see what's in there.

FYI, mine idled higher and settled down after about two mins. It never fluctuated.

Lung, make sure you hear the sound clips. I am in London right now otherwise I would have forwarded.

Wasn't impressed with Larini. Not bad, but nothing compared to the Tubi.

The Tubi on the G and the Tubi on Ferrari's sound completely different. On the Ferrari's, I always viewed it to kick in at higher revs, providing a sort of F1, high-pitched racer sound. On the G, it shines more on low-revs, providing an other-world sort of bark. It is absolutely wicked.

I added a Tubi to the G, and couldn't get enough of the sound. Have not found another exhaust that compared.

    Best.

Not sure how this could be true. More air + simpler and more direct flow = higher performance. Rumors, of performance gains vary, but unless I am missing the obvious, can't see how it could be any worse than stock.

Does this observation with regards the tubi application apply similarly to both the 360 and the F430?

    A couple of thoughts...
Stock is good... but i am trying to see if there is anything out that can smoothen out the throttle response and reduce the jerkiness.

Based on my track record... it may be inevitable that the exhaust may go hahaha
