Does $3800.00 for insurance on a 2004 360 Spyder sound right in North Jersey?

It will be covered as a classic exotic with an allowance of 5000 miles per year.
    No points or accidents.

I pay only $500.00 per year for classic insurance on a 1967 Chevelle now so $3800.00 seemed excessive.

    THANKS

Bro - I couldn't even get liability insurance for 1984 Honda Civic for that much.

    I'm jealous.

Do you have it as a daily driver type of car or is it a second car type of insurance? I think that makes a big difference.

I only pay $1800.00 for an 2007 S600 so I thought the $3800 was very high.

nj insurance rates are high, sounds feasable. Why not just call geico/ allstate and comparison shop, that will be your best answer.

Most classic insurance is based on Replacement Value and mileage.
I'm guessing the replacement value is a little more on the F, than on the Chevy.

I have the Ferrari 308 listed as a second car, unlimited mileage, appraised value, no other drivers and I'm over 25 (a smidge :) ). $700/yr (Ferrari only).
I use NJM, but Prudential had similiar rates but wouldn't do an agreed-upon value.

granted mine is worth far less than yours, coupled with I'm the only driver and it's a second car. But your quote seems way high.

That sounds about right in NJ but then again you have to factor in your driving record and age. If you are over 40 and have a clean driving record, I would ask a few questions but if not, that sounds about right. Try Geico, Progressive, Hagerty, Grundy, All State, & State Farm as well.

Yeah they kick your butt with insurance when your 19. Anyone under 25 is considered high risk. Sad when yearly insurance can cost more than the car.

By about 3.5 times the value but the cost of insurance is 8 times higher than the Chevelle. I think they see Ferrari and just throw out a high number.

the '03 Vanquish costs a bit over 3k/year, with an accident free but ticket-full driving record.
