What have you done to increase the performance of your F car from stock? I can’t help myself but to improve upon perfection.

None. I like the car the way it is.

If I want it faster, Novitec supercharger would be the addition I would consider.

This was discussed here recently I think. There is a thread somwhere here. :) I love my stock 348 just the way it is. But...........I added an XOST exhaust and made an 18.8HP improvement over stock. When I need a new airfilter, I will replace the stock paper element with a K&N element. Will also do a dyno run to see if there are really any HP gains to be made from them. :):)

From my experience with my cars (non-Ferrari...but it doesn't make a difference) it was an ignition upgrades. Improved gas mileage and improved power due to more complete combustion for coil upgrades e.g. Electromotive. Mechanical to electronic points upgrades no only helped eliminate maintenance but also eliminate point float when hitting the higher rpm ranges in my air-cooled engines. The nice thing about these changes is that they can be used from car to car and complement additional changes (except for originality, bah! :D)

Exhaust header & muffler is another good way to improve performance though in a sport car such as Ferrari I would think the stock unit is pretty well engineered and couldn't be improved upon. I'd really like to see the before/after dynos of a Ferrari w/only it's exhaust changed (from stock to after-market) to see if the difference is even worth the cost. Maybe MufflerMan could add some input here (hint hint ;) )?

    I have done nothing. Yet.

I am thinking about... and thinking... and researcing... You get the idea... of upgrading the exhaust.

Tubi sounds nice, there is a thread in the 3x8 / Mondial section with some awesome souindbites of the Mille Miglia on a 328, (http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=131126&highlight=hyper+flow) or maybe a set of Hyperflow Cats...

So many options. I don't think I'll do anything in '07, but not ruling out next year.

1: Lose 10 pounds and take some driving lessons. Be the top of the class.

2: Drive against competition that's better than you and find out what they do. Start to beat them.

3: Learn the physics of racing. Corner weights, cam timing, aerodynamics...it get very complex at the professional level. Hang around with the pros and ask questions. Be a PITA.

4: Seat time, seat time, seat time, seat time.....a pro in a Tarus will beat you in your Ferrari.

    5: See #4

6: Sell the Ferrari. It's not really a race car. Get a Formula Ford or something else that's dedicated to racing.

&: Well, keep the Ferrari but get a race car anyway! LOL

    Agreed.
Leave the tuning to Japanese cars. That's what they're made for anyways.
