Aluminum? You got to be kidding me, the way most skaters are with their boards that won't last a day.

I thought the whole point of a skateboard was to be portable in the first place? I think as a means of transportation they are pretty convenient, you can strap them to a backpack.

That board is useless. It probably has little amount of pop to it. Meaning when you ollie, the characteristic of the board allows for a greater pop/ability to jump. Not to mention that sliding on a rail or concrete won't react the same way and will most likely be horrible.

Also, the way it collapses to be "portable" is no more portable than a regular board. If anything, this would be a better concept for a long board, but definitely not a regular trick skateboard.

Agreed It's not going to word the same as a regular board, and the fact that they're marketing it as more portable than a regular skateboard is absurd. I'm sure it will sell as a novelty but I don't expect it to replace skateboards or be that big of an impact on the industry.

I do agree with the longboard comment tho, that would make sense to have it break apart in half for easier transport.

.25 BHP, but it has shields and I should never make it to the 30K service.

I wonder if that thing creates sparks if sliding/grinding down a rail? That would be cool, otherwise I dont' see this board making any money since skateboards are already portable as they are.

Every boarder I know barely weighs 130 pounds soaking wet, so maybe they'd hold up!
