Did anyone see the movie made about Enzo Ferrari? I finally got it from Amazon, which took a month to get-will never deal with them again. Its about 4hrs long and not as good as I had hoped. The acting was mediocre at best. It really didnt portray him to be a very nice guy, but I had a sense of that before watching it. Just curious if anyone else had purchased it and has an opinion on the movie and its truth content. BTW for those that have not seen it, I would not reccommend going out and buying it, it really wasnt that well done, and definitely dont get it from amazon. I was actually surprised that a movie that was made about Enzo wasnt as well done as , lets say, the Tucker movie. I mean I did not even know who Preston Tucker was before the movie, yet hollywood spent a lot of money to tell his story, and do it well with good acting and an intelligent storyline. I would have thought that the creator of the most recognizable brand in the world,Enzo Ferrari, would have deserved a movie that was at least as good as the Tucker one, if not better.

I've heard rumors...probably here...that Hollywood will pick up the Enzo Ferrari story for a big production. DeNiro as lead, perhaps?

Regarding the current Enzo movie, I guess it was a cable TV production. I've got it, from Amazon, and don't think it was all that bad. My wife liked it a lot, and she really bought into the Ferrari legend after seeing it.

We got the movie in a few days from amazon, no probelmo.

Enzo Ferrari was not a nice guy. It was his way or the highway.

My wife really liked the movie too. They could have spent more time on the cars and drivers vs his "love" life IMHO.

His relationship with Dino is what the movie is about. I liked it very much. Enzo worshipped that boy.

    Enjoy.

That was also my disappointment in the movie...very little in the way of vintage Ferrari cars and portrayals of the early great drivers and races.

My wife didn't mind that failing so much...she liked the dramatic aspects, which were the stronger point...Enzo's love life and relationship with his son, and the portrayal of Enzo - as you say, not a nice guy, but also as a charismatic and powerful personality.

We've bought heaps of stuff from Amazon over the years...problems negligible.

I have to agree on Amazon. I've bought lots of stuff from them over the years and have mostly been satisfied, but as of late, they have been out of stock and very inaccurate on their estimated shipping dates. I had ordered "50 years of Ferrari" DVD in November 2006, and just yesterday received an email that they were canceling my order. Long delays and inaccurate arrival estimates have happened 2 or 3 times in the past 6 months. I still order from them because they are one-stop-shopping, but the service recently has been very inconsistent.

I don't know if there is more than one Enzo movie but the one I have is pretty bad. The acting was weak and it was so boring I turned it off before the end. Thumbs down. I'm sure Enzo was much more interesting than the movie portrayed.
