Not sure if it is original but it loks great. It may not be an original color as I cannot remember seeing another 308 this color.

This is, (Ferrari lists it as 20-A-548) as far as I have been able to find, a very rare colour. I know of only two other cars in the world, besides mine, and this car the OP cited, in that colour. Thats four cars, and one is in europe. Morcal owns that one, a GT4, and Alex owns a Boxer in that colour. The car posted in CT does not appear to be Montecarlo Blu, but a darker blue and also appears to be metalic.

I contacted Ferrari to inquire as to a paint chip, or a some guide to the colour, and was informed it was mixed in very small batches on a per car basis and none remains. So in reality, each car most likely has its own custom shade, or "mix". Hand made car with custom hand mixed paint?

So yes, its an original Ferrari colour, and rather rare. My car was re-painted red, but I intend to return it to something close to its original colour. I dont particularly care for the Motecarlo Blu myself, but a shade change one way or other could make it work nicely. :)

If you go the owners.ferrari.com site they have a list of all paint colors Ferrari ever used. Its a list of several hundred colors.

That is the first 308 GTS/GTB I have ever seen in that color and I really like it!

Yes, the color is original; the catalogue reference is "Salchi 20.A.548". It has been recently used by Fiat on production cars under reference "Blu 479".

Maybe my GTB would look better in that colour with boxer trim and my HRE505's? Anyone have a pic of a GTB in boxer trim?

Yeah Bubba, mine came with that Blue color and black interior. Sure would keep the gawkers and police off your tail. No one turns to look at a blue car unless they really have a clue what it is.

I have a 72 Pantera that is that blue color ... I've heard it called French Blue or Ford Blue (duh) .. I'm not sure what DeTomaso called it .. got that somewhere in the archives.

That is a fantastic looking color..wow!

Some yellow shields on both cars would make it pop even more.

I'v been thinking of painting my car blue (its red and tan), and I like the idea of the boxer trim (car was that way when I bought it) with this blue.

Alfa Romeo had almost the same color in the 60's-70's.
They called in Azzurro Le Mans.

Blu Montecarlo is indeed an original color. I own a 308 GT4 in this color and has been repainted partly. We have ordered the paint on the official colornumber and it did match perfectly.
