Anybody remember Prom?

I try to forget it.........

Was great !! boy the good ol days of being young, drunk and no demands on life...wish i can go back ...youth !!

 

We didnt have those in France so im going to my first now that i live in the US

 

My company held a Prom last year.. it was an open bar and no, I don't really remember much of it.

I remember it well - my best friend was a daddy 9 months later (and married).
31 years later - still married.

Next year will be my first prom. I'm not sure what to expect but I know its going to be fun all night long!

Any tips on how to dress the best for prom? I want my date and I to be the most unique?

For those on here who've met me, this may be hard to believe....

I enjoyed my prom. It was the one-and-only dance that I went to. I figured I'd do it in style and take my boss's Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Mind you, I also had not one, but two beautiful young ladies with me. One for each arm. 'Twas an experience to remember.

I didn't go to prom when I was a senior in high school, was out of town on business. I went to one two years later with one of my ex-girlfriends little sister who lost her date two days before. It was ok. Basically just felt old.

2000 is just too far back.

Overall prom was okay, but it was a miserable time b/c my date was dating my friend behind my back. Every time I went to sit near her at the after prom weekend lake house, she would walk off. Then she had the nerve to come up to me later than night, after I had been drinking a bit, and ask if I was mad at her.

Probably the only time I have ever chewed out someone that good. Only time I got away with calling a girl a ***** without getting any feedback. She knew she was wrong. Talked to her a handful of times after that, and haven't since.

Surprised I haven't run into her in all these years. She actually worked at my moms work for a year or so not longer after I graduated. As much as she pissed me off I was sorry to hear that she had gotten cervical cancer. But she's clear of that and now has a baby. I believe she actually had twins, but one of the babies didn't make it. As much as someone could piss me off, I would never wish anything bad upon them. It's a shame she went through that.

 

I remember mine, it was only about 10 monthes ago. It was incredible, for the parts I remember . We had a catered dinner at my friends house, with all the parents there for drinks and photos and what not. Took an H2 limo to the dance, stayed about an hour, then got back in the limo, went to my friends house up on the mountain which is about an hour and a half outside of town, partied there for the night and came home the next afternoon! Good fun.

I had almost the same deal: when I was 18-19, there was this cute little slutty chick named Karen that lived across the street with her mom, I was living with my mom during the summers home from college.
I 'hit' (ahem..) Karen a few times, then she disappeared off the face of the earth.
8 years later mom comes home from work and says 'guess who we hired to work for me ? Remember Karen that used to live across the street ?', Karen then moved back in with her mom, and she and my mom would carpool to work.
Talk about awkward...
That lasted < than a year, then Karen quit..
