So here we are, relaxing in out 32nd floor hotel room in Sydney, enjoying the morning light and the awesome views of Sydney and Darling Harbour as well as the gorgous Sydney Harbour Bridge.
I notice this red car in the median of the highway below and although its hard to tell for sure, it looks a lot like a Daytona! I grab the binoculars(always travel with a set, esp. when planning on viewing a car race!). Sure enough, it is, stranded on the median with car trouble. Then I hear the unmistakable sound of our wonderful Ferrari engine note and suddenly realize the Daytona is not alone. Not by a long shot. There is a veritable sea of Ferraris. This continues for 5 minutes, with i bet at least 50 cars going buy underneath our window. Damn, the 360/430 spiders sure look great from 32 floors above.
And the sounds.....all the cars had to stop at a toll booth directly below our windows, so they all accelerated away and although most of the traffic is silent, the Ferrari wail filled the air as one after another the car accelerated up the highway.
Saw a couple of 599's, lots of all the modern 8 and 12cyl cars and a smattering of older cars.
Glad to report that the Daytona finally found a proper flat bed(second try) and was wisked away for repairs. Hope it was something simple and thanks Ferrari owners of Sydney for the great show.
    I love these cars!!

We caught part of the return trip this afternoon.
Really interesting seeing cars from above, lots of the ques you use to recognize a model are no longer visible as the viewpoint is so totally different.

What I saw the second time around, where I could see more of the car as they came by individually or in two's or three's:
    F40
288GTO-one of the most beautiful cars of all times, from ground level or 32 floors up!
512bb-beautiful argento color, my personal favorite for that model
    550 Barchetta
a couple of Dinos incl what looked to be the only Griogio Ingrid Dino I have ever seen
    330gt-looked to be generationII car
and lastly a couple of 250GTO's(I think....it was hard to tell for sure from above) with one a silver gray color with dark stripes.
And of course the wonderful modern cars in 8 adn 12 cyl still offering the magic fcar exhaust note in driveby.

Hope some of you aussie owners see this and chime in.
