Hey all, just got back from the track and got some pics you all might be interested in. I live only a few miles from Willow Springs International raceway where I took these. Weather was great and so were the cars! No, I do not own one nor ever will, but they are very beautiful! I go out to the track at least once a month and when the Ferrari clubs are out there I'll be sure to get more pics.

I also have a few short video clips Ill try to upload.

Actually no. They tape cars like this off all the time for shipping and stuff. Not so much tape but a plastic saran wrap for cars if you will...

3M's stock must rise with every track day, that's a lot of blue tape!

Wish I could have stopped at the track, I got gas in Rosamond on my way back from a ski vacation in mammoth. Great snow and weekend by the way! The wife was already pissed with my lunch selection so I dared not ask about a drive over to the track.

Thanks for the pictures, nice of you to post them.

The fully tapped stradale looks ridiculous. The winf on the 348 even more..

I love the Maranello with the roll cage and the F430 challenges..

HAHAHA Check out that wing!! Quick someone call Ferrari he has the answers to why they didnt win the championship last year :p

With the cars with the 3M Macgyver tape, it make more sense if they just went out and got it done professionally with the clear stuff then they be protected on the road as well as the track.

It's ashame they didnt have any black markers could of had some fun with the blue tape :p

    Thanx for the pics :D

As others have stated... that is quite a wing on the 348.

Just an FYI, I am pretty sure the 348 with the big wing is FatBillybob, and he has so much track time I am sure it is functional. The blue tape is extreme, I thought the local guys here did the tape thing too much, but not anymore! I think if FBB reads this, he might chime in to tell everyone what the story is on the rear wing.

Fchat has many 'wing police.' Of course these guys usually do little, if any, track time so just ignore them as i have chosen to do (the 308 here has a wing).

Agreed, though some guys are a bit anal about their cars and paint chips. Heck, after my first in-wall excursion at T3 at NHIS on a cold day in the rain i decided who cares, it is just a car and no need to fix minor dents and scrapes. So give the blue paint guys time to rack up some dings and dents like the rest of us hardcore track guys :)

If you don't ride people's butts, you don't get chips (at least I don't at VIR, but maybe it's cleaner). The rocks don't just leap off the pavement to hit the front of your car - you have to be behind somebody to do it.

The only bad spot is behind the rear fender, but that is the same on the road.
