The turn out was spectacular. Collectors came out of the wood work at the busiest time of the year for auto events in Florida, to display their cars and airplanes in a non-judged event for the sole purpose of pediatric cancer research.

A very special thank you to Michael Fux for bringing out 8 exceptional autos, including his FXX, 2002 championship Schumacher F1, DBR9, Veyron, etc. Also to the IRL and Miami Homestead Speedway.

The people behind this event were dedicated, and hard working. I am proud to have been involved in just a small way contacting collectors with fellow SSF member Scott Saidel to bring their vehicles to us with short notice. The event started in the early evening with flyovers above over 60 very special automobiles from Auburns, Cords, to F50's and FXX's and 20 airplanes including bi-planes and fighter jets. Attendees participated in silent and live auctions, listening to live music, while sipping champagne and eating food prepared by four of Boca Raton's best restaurants. The event lasted into the evening under the partial eclipse of the full moon.

Next year, this will be 100% the quality of Pebble Beach, Amelia, and Cavallino combined. Until then, go to the Morgan Adams Concours in Denver every August.

When you see the faces of the children, you will want to be there:

No question this event will become one of the all-time favorites of many in this region, and I can't wait until next year; the turnout was superb, the displays (both autos and aircraft) awesome, the auction items unbelievable. I'm glad to have been a very, very small part of it, and humbled by the cameraderie and generosity of the folks there in support of such a noble cause.

    Thanks everyone!

Looks like an fantastic event, for those of us not in the US for whom was money raised, I gather it has something to do with children which makes it a very worthwhile cause.

Thanks for sharing the pictures, some awesome cars there!

Yes, pediatric cancer research. Many of the children whose photos I posted, are no longer with us.

The Colorado Morgan Adams event is always very nice. I think most of Alex_V's great pics are from that event.

It was a great party. The band was mostly guys that had some history of playing for James Brown. The singer was dancing and doing flips during much of the set. I think everyone that went had a good time.

What a great event! Scottie and Ron, you guys did a fantastic job! Just a fabulous evening with great cars, planes and people and all for a great cause. Super cudos to Bill T., Andy, Martin, Griff, Mike, Robert, Dave and Fred...I mean Captain Fred "Fly By" Burton (pictured below) in his People's Choice award winning Blue Angels aircraft. And to all their ladies as well who always play a big part either in or behind the scenes! Thanks so much.
    GREAT pictures guys!!!!!

Some info about the photos in post 1:

    * The little boy sitting in the Schumacher F1, is a cancer survivor.

    * That same F1 car is the only F1 Ferrari that both teammates won a race in the same season, and is autographed by both Michael and Rubens.

    * The blue/silver Maserati 3500GT was Peter Revson's street car.

    * The Rolls with the Arthur plate was the actual car from the movie "Arthur".

    * The 333SP is #1, and the only one actually built by Ferrari.

    * None of the women in the photos are available.

great pic, and I notice a few things

    1) the NSX never ages
    2) the high dollar production cars Veyron/Phantom could use a more exciting exterior/interior paint scheme, especially the grey interior on the veyron (well no offense/disrepect intended)
    3) does the Ferrari F1 car have an engine inside?
    4) on post number 8, what is that black car under the pic of the Z3?

The Ferrari F1 is a complete and driveable vehicle. Along with the FXX, its owner may in fact be driving both at Homestead Speedway this weekend during Ferrari Challenge weekend.

The 333SP will also make an appearance by its owner.

That black car is a one off custom roadster. Not sure of the drivetrain, but it is a modern vehicle underneath.
