Good news on the no ticket. 170 is too fast for me thank you very much.

I was watching the steadiness of the camera image which was very good, and it brought to mind the question of wheel size. I saw some sizeable or what I thought to be sizeable pot holes which was not affecting the ride.

Was your friend hand holding the camera?

Does it block vent air flow?

I am installing a Pioneer AVIV-80DVD with a 6.5" wide screen, and it's all mounting on the tunnel under the dash. The screen is a dead on silver match for the metal interior.

This way it does not block the air vents.

I'll post it when I am done.

I'll look at your friends photo work as well.

 

I actually have the vents closed right on top of the LCD just incase when the ac goes on.
+ i have a rear camera

here is my question after watching that video: if a mini van loaded with kids pulled out into the fast lane, and the 360 hit them at 170 MPH, how long do you think it would it take to figure out whose arms and legs went with which body?

I'll be the first to admit that I drove too fast on public roads when I was in my late teens and early 20's too.. and I too have driven my 360 at 90 to 110 on open roads for short bursts.. but that extended racing on public roads - in traffic - at over 150, 160 and 170 is very unforgiving territory.. You make any mistake at those sorts of speeds (or someone near you makes a mistake or goes to change lanes and doesn't see you) and you'll be waking up in a hospital without some of your body parts - and that is if you are lucky.

Some years ago, I was going only 75 and a car turned in front of me.. I barely escaped with my life and all my parts still attached. My gf at the time went through the windshield and the car was a total write-off. Until you have been in a near fatal car crash first hand, you have no respect for how quickly things can go wrong and how fast life can change.

If you need to go 150 or 170... find a race track before you kill yourself or a car load of kids or something... or at the very least an empty road.

Anyway, I don't mean to bash your video too much... and I know everyday I sound more and more like my dad... but I think a reminder about how dangerous those speeds can be is in order. That stuff is not only very dangerous, but tends to give all exotic car [ferrari] owners a bad name.

Ray, what you are saying is absolutely true and those who cannot appreciate it are those who haven't lost loved ones to terrible accidents (as I have)....I hope it doesn't take learning the hard way for people to realize that driving like that on a busy public road is not only bad for the driver but also for those innocent drivers sorry to be stuck on the road with them....Ferrarijoe, you are a respected FChatter but I think it's a bit of a shame for you to be thrilled by your antics.

i agree does nobody else think this is the most stupid video of driving ever?? many close calls in that video, and waaayy too much traffic on the road...

ill admit it too that i drove "crazy" never that crazy, but i had a bad wreck as well and admit it that i now drive like a *******... too many close calls in that video, not that cool...

 

what scares me -and i've experienced this driving in US too- is the way cars are allowed to weave across and between all three lanes of traffic....

Its not just guys from the UK that consider that type of driving irresponsible. I am a physician at a very busy trauma center and see the results of that type of stupidity on a regular basis. Track days are not very expensive and readily available all over the country.

 

bear in mind that this guy thinks it's clever to drive one handed @ 150 mph through a tunnel while filming himself ....
