    Thanks very much for the photos.

    I can relate to being the oldest car at the trackday! My 328 is always the oldest at our regular day (every two months). Next oldest are the 360s. I really notice the relative lack of performance in my car and always pit quickly when the 'big' boys come out.

    Only a few more days now til our Friday at the track. One red 599 GTB is to be there. Am looking forward to seeing - and hearing - this wonderful car on the track.

    Fellow F-char poster Dingo accompanies me to the trackday and has posted many photos to his website http://www.ozcarsightings.com/homepage.html

    Hopefully there will be photos there by next Monday of the 599 and the other cars. Weather is forecast to be fine and 29°C. Four more sleeps. Haha. :)

    I actually love having my 348 on the track. It is much slower on the gas which forces me to really focus on braking and turning if I want to make up ground away from the long straight. Don't go in when the big guns come out!!!

    Great photos Henry. Well done. There was a problem with the police permit for the left hand drive cars so no Enzo, F50, F40 or 288 GTO. The cars were at Repulse Bay at the end of the day.

    I am told there will be as many as 7 599's doing the China drive to Hainan Island over Easter. I will be driving mine so I will have lots to report on in the way of top speed, performance vs 575 HGTC, 430, 360CS. Should be big fun

    The police problem again, this is ridiculous, they allow those left hand drive Merc with china licences driving 14xkm on route 3 everyday.

    So wish you enjoy the drive, as last time my family drove from Hong Kong to Hainan, it took 2 days to arrive, we arrived the city for cross-harbor ferry at night, and then went to Hainan by car carry ferry on the 2nd day, lots of fun on the highway to hainan, the road condition is good, less traffic, road surface quality is good inside Guangda , will the china police close a part of the highway for a speed test this time?

    There is a new highway for part of the journey which I am told is really smooth and should be perfect for exercising Fcars!

    My new dash has arrived from factory. Hope to get my car back tomorrow. Anyone else know of other TFT problems? When I started my car, I got the message "Electrical Failure" - not exactly confidence inspiring inspite of the car functioning perfectly. Will be happy to have all this behind me before my China drive

    Have heard that there will be even more 599's - probably 9 as the first shipment of 07 manufactured cars will arrive in time for the drive. Will get a group photo and post after Easter!

    Just got back from Hainan. Put 2,000kms on my car over Easter weekend. Hit top speed of 330kph. Car is awesome. Nothing can run with a 599 on the open road. 360CS is a slow noisy mosquito!!! No need to even talk about a 430. Pictures when I have a moment.

    DM18 glad to hear you had a safe road trip with no car 'issues' there. The 599 sounds like huge fun when you can enjoy it's full potential. Look forward to pics from over there!
