    Going to have a few free hours in Berlin this thursday (8/03) and being extremely "car hungry" (don't get much exposure to the 'finer' cars in Poland) I'd like to see as much as possible. Any suggestions on what to do? Meilenwerk is an obvious must (visit there every time - expect photos soon) but anyone know of anything else worth seeing? Dealerships, museums... maybe events?

    As much as I'd like to taste some German beer unfortunately thats not a viable option ;) Making a round trip by car, so sobriety is also a key word here ;(

    Go to the Meilenwerk!
    There is the Ferrari dealer located and there are lots of vintage cars stored. I was there a couple of years ago and it was really great :) I even went there 2 times in 4 days :)
    If you have some time left you can also vistit the VW-Center. When I was there they had a Veyron on display and I was told they have somewhere some Lambos too.

    If you could find out whether they have anyone who speaks English if I was to bring my 328 for servicing there I would appreciate it. Also just get a general feel for the place. They're my nearest Ferrari garage

    Well I'm back!! I arrived at meilenwerk about 10.30. Had a quick stroll around the place to see what was there and then decided to check out the Ferrari service. First of all, Przemek - English is understood, but not all to well. I had to back some things that I wanted to say with the little German that I know to be fully understood. I also asked about servicing costs (as far as I remember you're nearing the 60k service right?) and was informed that servicing for cars more than 10yrs old is very expensive as they have to source the parts from England and not Italy (apparently they moved the storage of these parts from Italy to GB). Got a business card for future reference;

    Yes... well now for the not so nice part. I spent over 3h there walking around, taking photos - generally just admiring everything that was there. I do have to admit a lot of time I spent in front of the Ferrari dealer and service. When I finally went in to ask if I could take some photos in the service area (F40/MC12 on lifts, 360s and 430s in various stages of being taken apart), before I even got to ask I was approached by a mechanic who wanted to know whether there is a problem . I have to say I was quite surprised by that.. they said my looking at their work made them very nervous and that I was stressing them out! I responded that I'm just admiring the cars, at which the lady working there said "yes, but you've been here 3h". I guess not everyone appreciates the fact that they're surrounded by these beauties the whole day. Could have easily spent 3h more, but decided to end their problems and just leave. So, overall... not to good and impression :( As a Ferrari enthusiast I was expecting a somewhat 'warmer' approach. Guess I was just another pesky visitor WITHOUT A FERRARI to them.

    PS Photos to come ;) Stay tuned..
