If anybody was planning on going but was hard up for accomodation I might be able to help you out. I will be there Friday, Saturday and Sunday and possibly tomorrow for the Porsche driver training.

 

I don't intend to come as I need to earn some points at home for being away so much lately...

But I'm trying to get another sick QLD car ready to race and it may be last minute, in which case I'll bring it down for him, and hang around for the scenery.

OR, I might refit my ignition pack to the BB if I get time(previously loaned it to another car for testing), and bring that down.

It's an event not to be missed if possible. Some great cars to be seen and more importantly... heard!

 

i will not be going ,have no interest in those VHRR ****ts whom run it!If you take out the odd overseas car and the New Zealand F5,000s nad the sic Porsche regularity runs what have you got but a whole heap of ****t.Plus all those Pensioners whom run in. Rob Bailey ex historic racer.

it's a great sight to see. You don't need to talk to the honchos, just enjoy the spectacle.

 

man I raced historics for close on 25 years,I call it the way it is its run by a bunch of old Cunits for a large group of ****s.I look forward to when your clients 308 comes out and see your comments then.Down load the entry list from www.vhrr pensioners+****ies.com.old.How many great cars are their how many would get a run at goodwood ect.They pad the meeting with overseas cars.Its bull shat thousands of $s to race and you get about 1 and half hours on the track.Fick em.

Does anyone know if TB is coming with his 365 GTC/4 to race?

I've just taken on another job... UK spec steel 308GTB (drysump)... going back to original yellow paint (currently resale combo), and full cage and full race spec rebuild. Historic SC/Targa type car.

Driver is pretty good too (nearly as fast as me in a kart if he's watching!)

and yes so many good people no longer wish to be involved.Jim your a past racer,how many Brabhams are running,Elfins,Lotus and Aussie owned F5000s cars,their out their sitting in peoples garages.Don't get me wrong I'd love to be out their racng,I choose not to.If I sold my Boxer and Aston Martin I could buy a serious race car like a Brabham Climax, but what for and put up their all their ****,no thank you!

sorry John ree the Jim name.Fingers got away from zee brain.Looking forward to Phil and how he handles those old CINTS.They might get huge fields but so many of the good cars stay at home.Its now drivern by money and profit which goes towards paying an ex HRT spanner whom now lives on his reputation to pay for him to go to Goodwood each year,thats a good payed for gig.As Minogue would say "**** wits"The cints whom ficked him over so often now embrace the F5000 cars and why crowd#s and money.Oh and don't think you will see any of the fast Camaro,s,Mustangs,Toranas down their,they no longer run at historics.
