I will join the chorus who favour the Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato and I'll add a couple more:

    Cisitalia 202 C

    Ferrari Lusso

I was wondering when somebody would put in a vote for the Lusso...

And, as long as I am here, could I nominate a couple more Bugatti models?

35B Grand Prix Racer - IMHO prettiest prewar racing car of all...

Type 55 Street Roadster in Red/Black 2 tone - IMHO much more striking than any of the overdone Delahaye/Figoni styles or even than the Type 57 Atlantica.

    ...We all do.

But there's no denying the more petite 206 is the "prettier" of the two.

I thought the idea of this thread was to pick just one car...the one you think is the best looking ever, with no other factors involved

I admit that for sheer beauty, it's hard not to admire some of the voluptuous bodywork that stylists like Figoni & Falaschi did in the 30's.

But for something a bit closer to the modern era, I always liked the Ferrari 250 GT Lusso. And in racing cars, nothing matches the 330 P4.

And then there's always the 328 in my garage! For Ferrari owners, the prettiest car is theirs......

It's way way up on my list of best-looking modern cars, but not the prettiest of all time. It's muscular and pretty at the same time. A stunning car.

Ditto. F355 is quite nice for a modern car, Aston DB9 as well. I'd put the 328 alongside the F355, mostly because it is second only to the (ugly) Porsche 911 as the most iconic sports car in the world.

I was also amazed by the 360. Fine car, just not Pininfarina's finest hour. Jeremy Clarkson said it "looks like the dog's lunch", which is harsh, but it does seem to be a rather lumpy design.

    I'd take nearly anything over a 599.

The prettiest car ever made, mentioned already in the first post, is the 250 GT Spyder California SWB. It's simply stunning, inside and out. And you can't even hear the engine in these photos.

    Honorable mentions for me:

    Ferrari Daytona Spyder
Porsche Speedster (anti-style, but incredibly stylish in spite of itself)
Ferrari 328 (an icon, and so much prettier than Porsche's iconic 911)
Ferrari F355 (bulldog stance, elegant, tight, not quite iconic though)
Ferrari 550/575 (future classic, prettiest nose on any modern car - vastly underrated right now)

I admit I'm not expert in all those elegant 1920s-30s-40s cars, but from what I have seen they are bit flowery and over-ornamented. The CA Spyder has the right balance of form and function. It could only have come from Italy.

Note my bias toward 1950s and newer cars... guess it's just due to my age.

I can't speak for all 911, but I don't think my twin turbo cab is ugly.

Of couse, I'd trade her in a second for the Alfa!
