I'd like to attend, is it open for non-FCA members?

Just join the FCA...it is a good organization and the publications you get as a member are worth more than the annual membership fees...www.fca-se.com

It does sound like fun time, but I am not a FCA member either, and I have no interest in being a member anymore.

I just don't get you guys not wanting to be an FCA member? It's cheap to join, you get the Prancing Horse magazine and FCA Newsletter as part of your membership, which includes Ferrari info you can't get any where else, you get to participate in FCA events across the nation such as track events, concours, driving schools, rallys, socials/dinners, ect. which allows you to meet fellow Ferrari enthusiast, ect... Plus, I have found it keeps my wife interested in Ferrari by her meeting other Ferrari wives in social settings. Its a real bargain at only $135 per year...that's less than the cost of a nice dinner for two at Chops!

I have been a member on and off a couple times over the last 5 years. My membership lapsed mid Feb. and I considering rejoining but am currently not a member. So I guess my question is answered, sort of.

While many of our FCA events are open to guests, we do have some events that are members-only as a member benefit, and events are sometimes subsidized by the club to save our members money. As they say, "Membership has its privileges!".

This particular event is for FCA members, though they can bring whatever passenger they choose as a guest as long as they're riding in the FCA member's Ferrari.

Right, that's certainly an option if you don't work during the week.
If you want to go with the group on Saturday, he's opening it special for us as a private party.

Note, it is not open to the public on Saturday. Plus, Bruce has agreed to let us drive some of his micro-cars around his on-site track...and, depending on the number of people who come, he will also bring out some of his other toys for us to play with...rat-a-tat-tat...

So for about 1/3 the cost of a full year of FCA membership with all its other benefits, you get to go on one of the most crowded holidays of the year with a bunch of non-Ferrari owner-strangers and not get the personal attention of fellow Ferrari owner Bruce Weiner...wow, what a deal! NOT

No Frank, "So for about 1/3 the cost of a full year of FCA membership with all its other benefits, you get to go". I'm not going but I thought I said that. I never said "I" was going to the Microcar museusm on Memorial. I posted it as an option for fans of the cars who are not FCA members like Mitch or Jim who may want to go on a Saturday. Like some others who are paying members of
F-Chat I do not see the value in FCA right now. That may change in the future as it has in the past for me.
    This horse is dead.

I'm just poking fun at you...it does surprise me that more Ferrari owners are not FCA members...but, I guess I'm just a joiner having been a member of the Viper Club, Corvette Club, BMW Club, HOG and just about every car and/or motorcycle club representing a marque that I may own at any given time...

No problems Frank. Sounds like some good clubs. As you have seen, I'm a sometimes joiner.

Thats too bad about the whole "not a FCA member you can't attend" deal. Even though I don't own a Ferrari, I'm a huge fan of them and would love to see such a gathering of Fcars here in my town, especially considering I live just minutes from the museum and I *never* see any Fcars around here. I'm sure the people that do attend will have a great time though, Bruce has a nice collection there.

4Rings, I'm in Conyers and head east once in awhile. I'll drop you an email next time I come that way.

By the way, we have MANY members in FCA who don't own Ferraris (yet), and that's just fine!

And, it is likely a very smart decision to join the FCA well before buying your first Ferrari...that way you can get to know other Ferrari owners, read and learn about the idiosyncrasies of various models before taking the plunge and buying one...I sure wish I would have done that as I would have never bought my 328 and went straight for the 12 cylinder cars...

I've received confirmation of attendance from several folks with some interesting Ferraris over the last few days...it looks like this will turn out to be a great event!
