    I am having the last of four major customer service meltdowns with the Platinum Amex. I have written a detailed letter but I do not know who to send it to at American Express. I want to bypass the usual customer service route and get it on the desk of someone important who may (possibly) read it before using it to blow their nose in. Anyone here know someone or someone's address? This is my last resort.

    I don't have an answer for you, but I can offer suppport. I have been fighting with them since August. Their customer service has turned to complete ****. I have canceled all my AMEX accounts and will next cancel my merchant account. I am done with this company.

    Good luck resolving your issues.

    Can't help, but you certainly have my sympathies. I kept a green AE card for years and years, but only used it a few times. When I decided to cancel it, it practically took an Act of Congress.
    Good luck. Those people don't care.

    there is a gov reporting agency that handles this as well, i had numerous issues with banks and credit co's that went nowhere for 7yrs. found the agency and reported the problem, also sent a certified letter to the banks physical address (not easy to find). within in 24hrs I had response and resolution on a FRIDAY!!! amazed the crap outa me!

    now i shall find that link for you, give me some time as I have to dig thru last years records.
