The cars were great, I'll reserve my comments for the VIP thing. That 2004 F1 car with the blue helmet driver was AWESOME! Thanks for posting the pictures.

Sorry for the lack of pics...our camera broke last week. Just got home.

    Some observations...

The F1 cars sounded extraordinary...I was astonished by how incredibly cool they sounded! Just amazing.

The #1 FXX was awesome to watch...that guy was moving out. Did he lap everyone??? Many of the FXXs were driven very conservatively, especially in the corners.

What is the swap shop? It was on one of the FXXs, apparently from FL. Guess the swap shop does quite well.

Anybody see that beautiful helicopter....what a nice way to get to the track.

And lastly...now having seen the 599 up close, boy that sure looks like a toyota supra.

That was a lot of fun...

I hope you all had an amazing time... and to Duane, Carbon, Andy, and anyone else that told me I should've gone, feel free to say "I told you so."

I will DEFINITELY be there next year, no doubt about it.

Back in the 70's and 80's Preston Henn (owner of the swap shop) drove a 935 with AJ Foyt in what is know the Rolex series (Sebring Daytona). Yes the Swap Shop does VERY well.

if you didnt have an FXX, F1, or Challenge car the track time sucked

I passed on it as there was only 1 run group and they wanted to lump fast & slow drivers together

    I'm rather dissapoointed with that

All I have to say is wow! I wish I would've went, oh and anyone wanting pictures will not be disappointed if I get to one of these FChat events. It's just that my ride is a little lacking in comparison to you all.

Jasen, good to see you and your father again. Amazing photos, keep up the great work. Have to show you some of my really old racing photos some day. By old I mean like twice as old as you.

Keep in touch so you can make it to another event.

    William,

You've just stated the achilles heel of FNA-supported events, Challenge races and the Historic Challenge. No bloody track time! Moreover the expense of these events is astronomical to participate in. I can't imagine the checks an FXX owner must write for support. I can tell you what they write in the Challenge and Historic Challenge series, and they're not small. This just reinforces that to get track time, other series and events are significantly better. Although, they're not Ferrari-only, and you probably won't see the hardware that turns out at these types of events at HSR, SVRA, SCCA or whatever.

That's why Marenello Madness is so popular.

Frankly as a spectator, didn't want to see any street cars running around the track, and with the FXX and F1 cars present, the Challenge cars were just boring.
