Funny, I went to Cham for high school....how odd is that ? What a small world Joe. I had many friends that went to Boylen after grade 10 to finish highschool there.

 

i went was suppose to go to boylen, the summer before my grade 9 year, i transferred and went to downsview instead...but ur right it really is a small world..

speaking of teachers, in grade 10 i had a geography teacher that was just smokin', she was in her early 20's, so likely all the guys int he school wanted a piece of that...2 guys dropped the geography class cuz they were 1 year younger than her! lol...she use to live in my old neighbourhood, so she gave me a lift to school a few times..had a saab 95 convertible...just added to her hotness...

 

Rick and Sal, it really is a small world. But it doesn't surprise me,...that area used to be one of the best places in T.O to live in at one time. I used to spend a lot of time at Harvey's at Jane and Falstaff when it was well known as "Home of the Hot one's". I'm quite a bit older than both of you...but back then Harvey's was well known for a local hang out where we all brought our cars there and show them and shine them and loud music all night. Unfortunatly, once they built those Ontario Housing apartments on Falstaff,...the whole area went to the ****s....and the crime rate was out of control. Our house got broken into a couple of times and it was time to move. Great memories there though.

I live in calgary Alberta and my birthday is in 4 days. And nothing could make my birthday better then a ride in a ferrari or any other exotic car. Is there anyone be willing to take me for a rip around on the streets?

your DEFINITELY right...my cousin (he's 10 years older than me) he use to go to that harvey's alll the time, and he told me the exact same thing, that the area use to be so much better than it is now. I dont know if u've been back there since (i think about last summer) but the harvey's is gone now too, its now called carribbean cuisuine! lol...my cousin had a moment of silence when he found out...lolol
i use to work at the kfc thats across the street from there, only for about 3 weeks, i just hated it everyday i went and now that i know how the chicken is made i dont eat there at all (maybe once in a while) but on my 2nd last day, we had a break in, and someone stole 11 grand out of the safe...thats when the district manager of that kfc dropped about 5 to 7 grand into that store for new cameras and better locks...

 

The Harveys was the place to be about 10 yrs before i went to high school I remember it well when i was just a kid. It would be a miracle for my dad to bring us as kids out to eat, it was either that Harveys or the one on Dufferin and Lawrence...the McDonalds right at the corner of Wilson and Dufferin was maybe once a year...then it also went to Dufferin and Lawrence and the Sunoco opened up. What a small world, i still have some friends there parents (mostly grandparents gone) live on Maple leaf and that whole strip. Boy were those the days when growing up was fun....heading to Modonna for chicks...times have sure changed. I was going through that pocket not to long ago and that Jane/Wilson/Sheppard area is nothing like i remember it when i was a kid, that was only 20-25 years ago. I cant believe that Harveys is gone now.Pretty sad really

You're soooo right.....even when i was there.....Madonna was the place to go to lose your virginity. I lived in between Rustic and Maple leaf. A small street called Burr Avenue....just off of Culford. I drove down that street last year with my 18 year old son to show him where I grew up. The street seemed so narrow to me as compared when I lived there. I can't beleive we used to play hockey on that street....it seemed so wide back then! I won many Stanley cups back then on that street.

 

I like banning better.

 

I wish you could ban people for stupidity in the real world.
