Hi guys, Need your helps on this. I took the car for track day last week, it ran well, no problem through out (temps are okay and no lights came on) but it now has a strange noise which sound like it comes from the back of passenger seat while the temp is up to about mid gauge but it comes on and off. Im not sure how to describe the sound ... ttttrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr (if it tells you anything at all). The sound also stay for about 3-4 secs after I turn the engine off aswell Thanks for help P.
If it sounds like it's "ticking" then you could have a header/s that is failing. It's a common problem with the 355's. If that is the problem you can get it rebuilt, or put on an aftermarket set of headers that are better than the stock units. But what you need to do first is find out for sure where the sounds is coming from.
You mention the sound still occurs 3-4 seconds after the engine is turned off.....I think I would check the rear cooling fans.......try spinning them by hand first .....see if this is your sound.
