    Guys

Is this a decent deal for this car? It has all options EXCEPT the stripe... It has 6k miles.. The 15k or the 30k mile service has NOT been done yet?

I gave up on the 360 spyder, I dont fit in it as well as I would like...

Let me know your thoughts... Also, ar the Challenge Stradales holding value pretty good and will they continue?

    Thanks for your help!

That's a great deal! What color combo? Some people are paying $200k+/- for that car!

High 180's is not unheard of for non stripe cars. Make sure there are no surprises, but other than that it sounds like a pretty good deal.

The CS's have really leveled out value-wise over the last couple months, and I would expect them to stay in the same range at least until the Light Pista comes out.

Edit: Is it a dealer car, or a private seller?

Ok... Thanks for the advice! Its a private party sale... What do you think about it not having its 15k or 30k service yet? When will it need it?

edit: How much does not having the stripe hurt re-sale and value?

High for being a private party sale ... IMHO

I doubt you would find any with 15k or 30k services ... the car doesn't have 15k miles and has only been alive 3 years. If going by the book, it is time for the Stradales to be having belts changed.

Many guys have put vinyl stripes on for ~300 that looks great. I absolutely LOVE the silver/red and black... that's such an AMAZING combo. Go for it if you can, it's a pretty good deal!

Request service records to confirm annuals and 5K service. Based on in service date, (original delivery date) the drive belt service is either due or near. Is their any factory warranty remaining? Arrange for a professional Ferrari tech. to perform a PPI. Currently, factory stripe cars appear to be more desirable and commanding a higher resale. However, not every potenial CS buyer wants a stripe car. At 181K price is more then fair predicated that overall condition is excellent and services are compllete.

    Sounds like a great deal.

Prices have certainly firmed, with many cars still selling at MSRP. It's reasonable to expect prices of CSs to fall after the introduction of a 430 Light Pista, with two caveats. On the one hand, the 430LP market prices may turn out to be so high -- as with coupes and spiders -- that CS prices will continue to look relatively attractive. On the other hand, if a heavier 430LP makes it to the US (or possibly not at all) because of the air bag/sport seat/dash issues, then the CS may continue to be viewed as more "authentic", closer to it's racing cousin.

The silver CS should still be under warranty. Mine is until July 2007. Just before the warranty is up I will have the belt service done but NOT the 30K service. I make this distinction because folks often perceive the belt and 30 K service must go together. Risk aversion and wisdom say, get the belts replaced after 3 years for about $2K. No need, however, to pay another $2K for the 30K service when the car has only 6K. miles. Mine has 10K miles and I'll wait another $5-10K miles before doing the 30K service.

If you get the factory stripe, you get a unique distinguishing feature of the CS, but you're also stuck with the stripe. I have an aftermarket stripe that looks great, cost $300, and can be removed. A ++ of the stripe is it makes the car look more aggressive. Those pumped up on testosterone love it. A --of the stripe is it suggests there's a boy racer inside the car. As a metaphor, visualize a viper with big white stripes.

    Good luck.

Factory warranty is based on original delivery date unless an additional warranty was purchased. There are many CS's out of warranty and I would not assume anything.

YOUR ACTUALLY COMPARING A VIPER WITH BIG WHITE STRIPES TO A FERRARI CS WITH A STRIPE?!!

Where is this car located? I know there is at least one out there with that color combo that has been whacked... so watch out for that.

when you say you don't fit in it well, what do you mean? Depending on the size of the race seats, CS might not be a good fit either. Definitely something to check. I agree with others that a belt change should be done. The price is fair.

As long things are on the up and up that's a fair deal. I recently drove one with 16k miles and they are asking 169k.

they were not perfect. thats all i can say

both had scrapes on front bumpr. one needed a rear rim. well it was curb-checked so it might be buffable, i didnt get all up on it.

but they both drove right through.

for some reason the CS's dont sell high here. dont know why. perfect for an ebay deal
