I'm thinking of getting a 2004 Maserati Coupe. It's black/tan has the standard manual 6 speed, not F1 paddles. The car has 13,000 miles and has been dealer maintained since new. What are some pros/cons about the car?

I have an 04 coupe with F1. Thee car has proven to be very reliable, I use it as a daily driver 15-17 k a year. Careful on price check auction price and go from there. Dealer service is no better than a a qualified Maserat/ Ferrari service guy. except on warranty repairs. dealer keep the car for days for basic stuff. One day with independents. Tire make a real differnece on the car if you live in cold weather use winter tires and summer tires.

Check out ************.com- there are a lot of posts about the coupe, 6-speed vs. paddles, etc. I have an 02 coupe, 6-speed that has been bulletproof. Clutches can last longer with the manual, unless you drive the paddles hard.
Watch for vibration around 4k- may indicate bent torque tube, usually a result of aggressive starts. Tranny poor in the cold, but fine when it warms up. Also, check for engine software update that came out in 2005. Overall, this is my favorite car (vs. Countach and TR): fast, comfortable and reliable. Enjoy!

I just picked up an 04 Coupe with the F1 on Monday, so far I really like it. Traded an 06 Carrera S, for the Maserati, must say that this thing is a blast to drive.
