Is anyone interested in a Ferrari gathering at RM Classic Cars in Chatham Ontario. I have arranged for a tour of the restoration facility and of course the showroom. It is only a one hour drive from London and Windsor, just 1 minute off the 401 at Hwy 40. We are also arranging lunch/dinner at a great Italian restaurant nearby.
The showroom has several Ferrari's including a carbon fiber F40 prototype. RM is hosting a Ferrari Auction at the Maranello Factory in Italy May 20. If we are lucky there will be some Ferraris at the shop getting detailed for the auction.
Check out their website - www.rmauctions.com/Restorations/Awards
RM will provide us with a great tour and a reserved parking area for our cars.
Sign up for a great day!!

I'll take some photos for you and get the gory details in a few days. I live just down the road from RM.
This is what I do know about the car. It's red and gorgeous, no amenities (as it shouldn't). It is for sale. I'll ask the price. There was interest in California, however it has no emissions, so no sale. That's all for now.

Went to RM at lunch today. I just missed some Ferrari reps that were authenticating the F40. They took it for a spin around the parking lot and had it up on the hoist for inspection. It will be going to Maranello for auction.
I'm disappointed that I missed meeting the Ferrari guys. Not sure where they were from. Hope you like the photos. When I opened the door, couldn't believe how light the carbon fibre construction was. Check out the texture on the inside of the door. It felt like a feather!! Unfortunately they wouldn't let me open the bonnet.
Sorry to see it leave the country. Since it has no emissions, licensing would be tough. Last chance to see it at our gathering in May.

Larry, you are the man. Best Ferrari ever! ;)

And yes, sorry to see it go. But do you know if it was originally an CDN owned car?

I have informed RM tours that we will be arriving from 11.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m Saturday May 12. However, there is no real schedule. I don't want to make it a stressful day. I think that if everyone comes at different times, the tours can be staggered and therefore smaller, more enjoyable and informative.
Marco0355 has arranged for a meal at a great Italian restaurant. It would be nice if everyone could be there at the same time so we could eat together and exchange stories. I'll check with Marco to book a reservation. I'm thinking between 4:00 & 5:00 to get the long distance travelers back home at a reasonable time. There is a Hotel two blocks from the restaurant. Wheels Inn.
At average speeds, you are 3 hrs (max)from the 427/401 exit to RM. Hook up with F40carlo in London and you can meet and drive with him along the way.

OK !!! MORE TORONTO GUYS SIGN UP !!

Larry, I have a number of guys that are interested in coming, possibly 4 cars. I will let you know how many as the date gets closer. If anyone is close to the Sarnia area I can set up a meeting time and place so we can travel as a group.

Larry, I have sent you a couple of e-mails but I have not received any response. Can you try e-mailing me please. You may have to go to edit option under Subscription Info and checkmark the receive e-mails box, unless of course you don't want to receive e-mails. Thanks.

If non-owners are allowed I'd love to come. I've been lusting after that restoration facility for a long time.

I too have always wanted to see RM, but I don't really want to take the GT4 from Ottawa, just too long, Probably 8 hours each way. Okay if I bring the Jetta?
