    I'm 19, and need to rent a car for a week in Dallas. Anyone know of a place that's willing to oblige?

    All the major national chains require a corporate account in order to rent to people who are 'underage', and my company does not rent enough cars monthly to qualify (yet :) ).

    Probably easier & cheaper just to buy some used POS once you get there & sell it for scrap when you leave...

    I know Hertz rented to me when I was 20. They charge an extra $5 a day or something for extra insurance so it's not a big deal. I believe they are the only major rental company that rents to people under 25.

    My red 328 GTS is available for a weekly rental. $100,000 non-refundable security deposit... cash only. I was 19 once, those were the days... and I know what I would have done if I had access to Ferrari.

    I rented from Enterprise when I was under 21..... Didn't even have a credit card at the time. Left them a deposit ($500 IIRC) and it all was pretty easy.

    Well, a number of companies rent to you if you're between 21 and 25 - it's 18-20 that's the problem.

    No luck with Hertz and Enterprise. Fortunately, I did find these guys, so hopefully I won't have a problem. Only $25 extra per day.
