I've heard of Stradale owners having the stripes added later. Buddy of mine has a black CS without the stripes, and said that they were available as "aftermarket" for a whole lot less than the factory original option. Assuming this is what we are all referring to...
Yes the Stripe! It is a factory stripe so no goofing off with the decals by some guy but goofing off by Ferrari in Italy. The second is also right, no hotties.
Martin and I saw this together this past Saturday at Homestead. Too bad we don't know the owner! I wonder what Ferrari would say? What a screw up! This was NOT a decal.
The people in the picture attended a Ferrari event without wearing the required red hat, red shirt and red shoes?
And yet, the Concours judges pick on much smaller items because they are supposedly not from the factory that way. I thought the factory stripes were painted. If so, that would be difficult to screw up the masking that way! BT
I assume the panels are painted off the car. So it would be any easy mistake. If the stripe is painted on the assembled car, it would be nearly impossible to make that mistake.
I thought the CS stripes were tape that was clear coated at the factory. Nevertheless, never buy a Monday build. Especially a Monday after a Ferrari GP win. And even more especially after a win at Monza.
It was placed like that because no mater if you are viewing the car from the front or rear the green is always to the left. J/K I really don't know...
That is (or was) Tony Kanaan's CS... Supposedly it came from the factory with the stripe like that. It's for sale... http://formula-1-sport-cars.ebizautos.com/detail-2004-ferrari-360_modena-challenge_stradale-formula_1_sport_cars-1502461.html
