curious what your thoughts are. will there be a premium, or will it drop like the rest? trying to gauge how to approach the acquisition.

I would think a PREMIUM for sure off the bat......

THEN depending on the numbers....I think it will hold strong...

After all it is a version of a GREAT car, but even better...

You kind of have to look at it as the CS of the 360 F car...they hold strong till today..BUT only due to limited numbers...

I would like to see less than 200 world wide, 60% of that to the USA...

    Just my thoughts.

thanks for the quick reply Roy. are the spyders holding up value (both new and post-sale)? or have they started building those in large numbers now as well. i think the Gallardo SE's are holding up better than regular G's, but dropping below msrp now, right?

only word i've received from the dealer is that they will be "10%" more than the regular G. but they are also positioning the manual version as a "free" option, even though egear is $10k more on the regular G. whatever.

I think it will be close to $200K or more. I believe the spyder starts at about $195K and the superleggera will slot above that for price.

word from the Lambo rep in Scottsdale this weekend says it will cost the same as a well optioned Gallardo Spyder. Had a look at one(well, really about 15!) on Saturday. All I can say is that Ferrari had better start getting nervous. This car is hugely desirable. The interior is the best effort yet from Lambo.

I think the concept of this car is great but is it really that desirable? Mechanically it is just a Gallardo coupe i.e. apart from the ECU upgrade and exhaust there are no other mechanical enhancements. The engine, suspension, brakes, wheels are pretty much the same. That set aside I think it has a better power/weight ratio than the LP. I have not seen it so may I ask if it distinguishes itself enough from the coupe to warrant paying the asking price?

Ferrari doesn't need to worry about a damn thing. The Gallardo SL isn't going to be converting any Ferrari loyalists.

    Maybe?....Ferrari has ALREADY lost customers..but
then they have customers to burn! (and they continue to do that IMHO)

wow. wonder how that translates to USD. they ususally do not convert directly to current currency conversion rates.

what i find a bit insulting is that the manual version of the car is being touted as a "no cost option." uh...shouldn't it be cheaper?
