Any one have the 911 Cabrio and put a childrens car seat in the back.. Does it work ,is it legal, is it safe??
Porsche makes car seats for its cars...http://www.porsche.com/international/accessoriesandservice/personalisation/tequipment/911-997/childseats/
These are for the passenger seat though, not the rear jumpseats. If you find some, Mike, let me know.
Really? Wow, I'll have to look again - that is a pretty huge seat to fit (front seat all the way forward?)... but if it worked that would be a good thing.
We have a 2006 997 Cab and we put a car seat in the back it does work but my 2 year old is not comfortable and the front passenger seat has to be almost all the way in front so if you have a passenger they will not be comfortable. The way the seats are I had to remove the back rest part to make the car seat fit.
I always put my kids in the front seat of the 911. As far as I'm concerned, those back seats don't exist-- I took the seatbelts off of mine. And yes, I believe it is legal to put kids in the front seat of a 2 seat car. Although, yours probably has airbags, so disregard. Mine is an 85, so no airbags, no problem.
