Two Milestones for me on Fchat!!!!!!!!!!!

Well guys, not like you noticed, but I just got back from my first ever ban from Fchat!! WOO-HOO!!!
I also just hit 6,000 posts!!! WOO-HOO!!!

A double wammy Thursday!!! Both my kids are sick and I had to stay home from work today to tend to them...

The one bright star---Survivor is on tonight!!

Just to make sure I don't get another ban for posting this in the wrong section--a 355 question
Is Fly yellow and the Giallo Modena Yellow Ferrari used for the 355 the same color???

Not sure - the Mod that did it, like usual didn't have enough gonads to tell me up front before hand.
To me a common courtesy would be --hey you did this--we are going to ban you for this amount of time. Of course not---I talked to a Mod earlier that day about the issue and it seemed to be done and over with. then 3 hours later--Banned---I guess one of the Mods didn't get to yell at the Walmart greeters they supervise in real life and figured i would do fine to vent their anger... who knows.... just my opinion..

 

Who knows????? Not like anyone contacted me beforehand---Would like to know though---WHO WAS IT??????????????????????????????
I do feel I have a right to know or do I ?? I guess we will see if anyone steps up and takes the responsibility.. The Mod I spoke to earlier that day was dan360 and he explained about what had happened--I explained my side and I thought it was done and over with---who knows...

Technically I haven't told ya anything about why!! Let's just say I posted a thread in just about every region, just letting guys know about the registry site. I wasn't selling anything, it can not be considered spam. I don't ask for money - it is a site for all 355 owners and future owners to use for info. I guess some Mod decided I broke the rule about posting double or mulitple messages. that rule--yes I did break per se. But I think it was in good faith just notifying others who may have not seen it or don't frequent the 348/355 section very often.

Since the ban, I have received numerous positive messages about the site from guys who never knew it existed. I also added 17 new cars because of guys who never knew the site existed.

I had a car on the site that showed 18K miles as of 12/2006. I had a guy PM me on Sunday and say the car is for sale with 12K miles on it. I checked my records and confirmed the car has had either an odometer change or rollback. That info alone saved this person from purchasing a car that may have had the odometer tampered with. That info alone may have saved this guy $$$$ of dollars in the long run. But I get banned for mutiple posts, to me the value of the site alone has proved itself. Yet we had problems a few months ago with guys constantly posting crap about NSX cars. Per the rules, those posts should not be in the 348/355 section. I notified Mods, as well as Rob--what was done you ask?? NOTHING!!! I guess that is OK...

I have a great feeling for helping the guy on Sunday, so BAN all you want - I have that persons respect forever!! And you will be back at Walmart tomorrow scolding the greeters and smiling about your Mod powers....

 

I wish the Mods saw it that way also. But I guess a rule is a rule. I will now start ticketing people for going 1 mph over the limit--since a rule is a rule.. I will tell people that is Fchat policy...

 

I thought a warning would suffice also. I have never been banned up to this point. After talking with dan360 the other day, I thought all was well. I apoligized to him for the mutiple posts, but also explained why I did it. It seemed to be done and over with. But I was wrong.
After talking to many members here who have been banned most never did find out who banned them and some never knew fully why they were banned. To me that is just lack of respect for people and those Mods that do this ought to be the ones ousted from this board. I blame Rob's lack of control over some of these Mods who should not be modding what so ever.
When members come to the owner and tell him there is problem and nothing gets done---who else can you blame??
