What makes you determine that it is definitely a replica? Do you have some personal knowledge of this particular car, or is there a visual clue to the replica-ness?

I know the originals quite well, and this is definitely not one of them.
Some of the visual giveaways are the shape of the headlights, height of the carburettors, exhausts, shape of the rear fenders and the shape of the air intakes on the rear fenders.
I am not able to idenity what it really is, but my best bet is either s/n 7099 or 7123 (both are rebodied 330 GT's).

Where is Marcel when we need him and his huge knowledge?

That unmuffled engine must sound quite spectacular with the acoustics of a parking garage!

It seems to me that it has a PF badge on the side (allthough hard to see). That doesn't seem right on a Fantuzzi built body. Other than that it looks really good but doesn't match any of the real cars in detail.

Peter, I believe the TR59s were based on a design by PF, yet this design was modified in detail by Fantuzzi. Even so, it does seem odd to have a PF badge on a Fantuzzi body IMO. On pages 81-82 of Joel Finn's Ferrari Testa Rossa V-12 there's a large photo of 0766TR at Sebring in 1959 and the PF badge can clearly be seen on the left side of the car. In fact, the car was wearing these badges at Pebble Beach in 2004:

Here's another with the PF badge, 0768TR:

Thanks Wayne for pointing this out. I always thought that PF only put their badge on Ferraris that were built by them and that PF designed bodies built by others like Fantuzzi or Scaglietti never had them. For instance the prototype of the 365 GT/4 BB had PF badges because it was built by them but the Scaglietti built production BBs never had the PF badges. One's never too old to learn :)

    Best, Peter

Have we proved yet that this is not a real car ... just because we poor people would not park our historic Ferrari in a 'car park' does not mean the owner wouldn't.

There is an English Alfa 8c owner that constantly parks his car outside his nightclub in the middle of London (somewhere) and uses it close to as his daily transport ... even fell asleep at the wheel of it and awoke when it started rubbing against the motorway guard rail.

Boudewijn, those two photos appear to either be of different cars or of the same car after serious modifications. Notice the windshield wiper, hood (bonnet) latches, stone/bug deflector and rearview mirror.

Yeah Wayne, the first pic was wrong. The second is right. The car was at the French Quarter Classic 2006.

So, it appears that this is a Japanese car with an Italian body design and an American engine and gearbox. Interesting!!! Maybe the interior was Bolivian or Australian or something else equally exotic. Maybe the radio came from Tierra del Fuego. It is not a copy of anything, but it is pretty.
