I´m planning to change all the fuel hoses on my 83 QV. Looking at the parts diagrams I´ve found all that I have painted in red in the pics, but I´m not sure if there are any more hoses to replace. Also I don´t know if numbers 22- 28 in the TAV009 and 46-58 in TAV010 should be replaced.

    Any help would be great,thanks

I'm pretty sure 22 is a metal line so I don't think you need to replace that.

You'll have some fun finding a hose to replace 23 (part #119281)- I think its the same as on a 328 & last time I enquired it was NLA. Its a thick walled hose 15mm ID, 23mm OD & 400mm in length. Needs to be thick wall to go around such a tight bend. If you use a lighter weight hose you risk it collapsing.

You might want to replace the vent lines while you're in there. (Just noticed you are in Spain - your car may not have those.)

Iain, I´ll check about 22. I think 23 can be purchased in any Ferrari dealer if it is not too expensive.

Pad, in Spain we don´t have air pump, so no vent lines in an Euro 308.

Just replaced all the fuel/vent lines on my 328, there were 16 of them, 8 of which were for the vent lines. Just a reminder, hose #51 has (2) sections to it, where the solid cross-pipe connects to each fuel tank. You can just make out part of the hose at the corner of the right side fuel tank. Since I was not in hurry, I took all the old hoses off and measuered exactly what I had before buying new ones, that way I knew that the replacement ones would fit, I also replaced the fuel pump, check valve and accumulator. The whole job took 4 days, but like I said, was not in a hurry so took my time.

I asked Ferrari UK about hose 23 a year or so back & the thing was NLA. I got the dimensions from them & then spent a couple of weeks on & off trying to track down something to work in its place - without success.

Let me know if your dealer is able to supply - but I'd be surprised.

Doug, did you get #23 from a dealer & if not then what brand of hose did you buy for it that was the same dimensions as OEM?

I have a slight fuel smell when I fill up on my '83 308 QV Euro. I'm planning to do a long trip in it and wanted to have the fuel lines changed. I did have it looked at before and one line was replaced, but still have the smell.

I need to have this addressed before leaving. Does anyone know the sizes of the lines from the tanks? I would like to get these new lines in advance of actually doing the job. I heard about marine grade fuel lines available at West Marine that are the correct sizes. Does anyone know of this?

The smell is ONLY on a fillup, or a sharp left hand turn, and seems to be coming from the passeger side tank. I figured it must be in the upper part of this tank.

If it is a leak in the tank, how hard is it to remove the right side tank?

Did not bother with a dealer, rubber hose is rubber hose. Went to a industrial supply place that deals in hoses and asked for a high quality (that can handle being submersed) rubber fuel line. I wanted to keep it as original as possible so I went with the cloth jacketed type, but since you can not see the hose unless you take the inner fender well out, just a regular rubber exterior would do. The size for my 328 is 5/8" or 16mm (ID) x 14" long. I got all my hoses (6 different sizes) and all the stainless steel clamps (32) from the same place for $95.00 The brand of hose was Gates Bellowsflex with yellow stripe.

I bought hose 23 from Ferrari UK and when I fitted it I found that it collapsed, so I sent it back and got a refund. I bought a length of marine hose from NAPA on a trip to the USA, the difference is it is a thick wall tube and cost about 1/4 of the cost of the original which as no good.
