So you complain about people who take stabs at other car companys and then you do it yourself. So I'm guessing this isnt directed towards just anyone, but Lambo owners/ enthusiasts. Which would mean, everyones replys about it being jealousy are wrong because A. Lambo owners CAN afford to have a Ferrari, so theres no need to be jealous because if they wanted a Ferrari, they would have one. B. Why would enthusiasts of Lamborghini be jealous of the Ferrari guys? If they don't want one, no need to be jealous of the people who have one. Don't you think they would envy the Lambo owners more? So I think the stabs at Ferrari are out of loyalty to Lambo, or maybe they just don't like Ferrari's, and they want you to know. P.S. I'm a Ferrari and Lambo enthusiast. No hate towards anyone here.
If you are tyring to either get a debate going, or stir up ****e, you HAVE to do it on a Ferrari forum. It would not get alot of interest on the Datsun B210 site.
ya...great post buddy. only people who have positive things to say about your cars should be allowed to post here.(rolls his eyes) with the help of 410sa we can suppress all negative comments in the world!! welcome to F-chat,say something nice about our ferraris or your not invited to talk!!! LMAO and i guess it is just a reflection on your already very intelligent post.but for you to complain about people who have nothing positive to say about ferrari and then make fun of lamborghini in the same breath....once again i think my god,how stupid are these f-***s bring on the ban ***s
I caught that too...seems 410SA is not venom free himself =) People take pride in their cars, their local teams, their wives, their.... At the risk of casting a very broad generalization.... one of the basic principles of human beings (based on my 38 years of limited observation =) is that they fear, hate, loath, disrespect, condem, etc that which they don't understand. When I drive down the street and someone yells out an obsenity or rude coment about my 308 (which costs less than the SUV in their driveway), it's clear that they have no idea I worked @ $25/hour to buy the thing or that I do all the work myself to save $ and learn about the car. All they see is a Ferrari and an assumed "rich SOB". This happens mostly because they lack education about cars, the price of cars and what you can actually do with your life or your $ if you pay attention. You'll never remove pride or supidity from people (along with many other less than desireable traits)...sadly it's a losing battle. All we as people who "somewhat" get life is to keep up a good front, go out of our way to be nice/forgiving to those who clearly don't know or understand and do the best we can to win the losing fight.......... Kill them with kindness.
Clearly you have absolutely no sense of humor. That little circle with a couple of dots and an arc in it denotes that the statement immediately preceding it is in jest, simply to illustrate the point of the the thread. Perhaps you don't know that I am a car buff. I like them all, I own a bunch of them and I simply enjoy cars no matter what they are. If they burn gas and go fast, I'm in. It's just people that annoy me, not the cars they drive.
See above please. If I was to become venomous it would have to be for a far bigger reason than the car you drive.
Apparently I missed something in my English classes. Could you point me towards a book I can learn this correct grammar from?
Very true... sarcasim and indivudual humor/verbal style does not usually come across as intented in e-mails/posts/blogs/etc. We've all been missunderstood/quoted/etc. It's all part of the game/challenge of being on a forum like this.
If you are seeking English Grammar help from a car chat forum, you are probably fresh out of luck. This is a place where the English language comes to be abused, misused and far worse, murdered on a daily basis
Well in that case here's what I think. I think it's all stereotypes. Most people see a Ferrari and instantly think 2 things A. Thats a very nice car B. But theres a rich snob driving it. Its just what people think. Average people you see everyday think your a snob. I don't think it's the cars people are getting at, I think it's the owners. Alot of guys from other forums might say things because they think, that you think, that your better than them, because you have a more expensive car. However the truth is people who are snobs don't join car forums, because they aren't down to earth car lovers. They have the car, to make a statement. Not because they enjoy it, or because they love the high-pitched screaming sound. It's too bad some people think like that. But threads like this won't help solve the problem.
Honestly I think F-chat would be a drag without the spice, honestly I like it, keeps it real. ....but I do agree, many subscribed owners on the "L" site go looking to knock on Ferrari. Maybe it is just the nature of some of the personalities that the marque attracts.
When I was younger, I went to(and still go to) a lot of exotic car gatherings. I found the Ferrari crowd much more easy going than the Lambo crowd. I could approach and look at an F-car without worry of a scolding. Not so much with the L-car group. Granted, there were exceptions to each, but on a whole the Ferrari guys were laid back and friendly. I found the Lambo guys to be scared of the "kid" touching or otherwise tainting their car. Allan Lambo says Ferrari owners are "anal"? Not so much. Ferrari people are great to talk to. Lambo people can be, but stay back from their car about 6 or 7 feet. Not trying ot categorize anyone here, I love both marques and do my best to judge people individually, just relaying my observations.
The hell with Ferrari!!!! ;p It is a love/hate relationship with me. Ferrari's are like women. When you have one, everyone wants a ride. Give the wrong person a ride and they try and steal it. Then you hate it for being so beautiful. Jealousy kicks in and you are now the owner of what you are jealous of. This is a vicious circle....
We're not at the top of the pyramid. Whatever you own, someone has a more expensive, faster, better-handling car. Maybe part of the reason for anti-Ferrari sentiment is that we go around announcing that we're the top of the pyramid. Even on this forum, we have people who look down their noses at V8 Ferraris, or paddle-shift cars, or think post-1969 Ferraris are really Fiats, etc. Obviously I think that's b.s., because I'd be quite happy with a V8, Fiat-built F40 in the garage. But the point is a little humility can make a great car even more pleasant to own and drive.
Okay, here is my observation, for what it is worth. Ferrari drivers, not all, but a vast majority, tend to think too highly of the brand. No matter how good a Lamborghini is built, an F-car owner will say, "yeah, when was the last time Lamborghini won....blah, blah, blah." Well, I guess you haven't realized that it wasn't your car that won the title, no my friend, you own a street legal version. Lamborghini drivers, on the other hand, like to bash F-car drivers because of this mentality. Just drive the car. That is the main argument of L-car guys, that F-car owners just stare at the car sitting in the garage, never actually driving it because it is some sort of mythical, racer X type of car. It is all personal preference. Just because a one chooses Lamborghini over Ferrari doesn't mean he is not a serious car enthusiasts/driver. Just because one chooses a Ferrari, doesn't mean he is a Michale Schumacher. Ferrari drivers tend to take the car too seriously. "A Lamborghini doesn't handle well, its only fast." Everyone has their personal taste. When it comes down to it, we're all drivers. Hey, we like speed, you live in the Alps, so obviously, you need some hard core handling. You own what you own for a reason. Its all fun and games. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I don't bash Lambos, but I think people in general think of them as the ultimate bling car without real substance. Your photo helps to perpetuate that attitude. Dave
I love Lambos, regardless of what people think of them. If that same picture were taken with a 360 or 550 or <insert F-car model here> everyone on this board would be cool with it. I have rode in Lambos, and let me tell you, they have substance. I grinned like a 'tard with a ball of foil for hours afterward.
I don't think anyone is surprised that some Lambo owners think less of Ferrari owners and the same with Porsche owners and so on... I think what 410SA was asking was why do owner like that feel the need to go to FerrariChat to voice their negativity. The only reason I can think of is they feel the internet gives them license to be a tough guy. Many would not dare stirring something up at an FCA meeting. I know of at least one of these internet-tough-guys that used to show up to an occational meeting and sit back very quietly and shyly(sp?) and hardly even tried to get to know anyone, then a day later he is spewing all kinds of garbage on this forum about how Ferraris are junk and the owners are jerks, safely behind the keyboard. Just my observation.
