I was planning on leaving noonish and - see other thread - just told Dave that I would caravan with him (for the start of his trip back to Texas) as far as Sebring. I think there is some sort of function Friday night (a Jet Hop or something of that ilk) and the show of Saturday. I'll be on the ground first thing in the morning to start getting things organized. Hopefully, we will not get rain like last year. It turned a nice relaxed set-up into an all day marathon of trying to catch up.

Last year when the organizers and I got out of bed, at 6:00 am, it wasn;t just raining - it was pouring. The skys cleared about 10:00 in the morning, but by then we were hours behind in the organization and set up. By busting our humps all day, the organizers, volunteers, etc. managed to pull everything off without looking like we were panicked, but that morning, there were some dire concerns. Big credit to the organizers, who worked their asses off all day to pull it off. They deserve an easier time this year.

This may sound a bit lame, but I got my first cavity (ever) filled this morning and I was a bit nervous about it. All I could remember was how painful it seemed when my brother used to get fillings as a kid. I am pretty sure that he still cringes at the sound of a dentist's drill - even now, years later.

So, I was up, pacing, cruising the internet and in general making myself a nervous wreck. Of course, when I got to the dentist, he took another look and said "the cavity is just on the surface, I can do it without numbing you." That made me even more nervous.

In the end, it was all for nothing. It didn't hurt until he was bonding the filling. Apparently, the head from the UV light annoyed something in the tooth and I felt a pinch for a moment. That was the enxtent of it.

Think I am going to take a nap.

I'll definantly be there. Talk about a convenient location, it's walking distance from my dorm here at USF.

I will be managing the Aston Martin / Jaguar corral. Find me and say hi.
Hopefully, I will be more relaxed than last year, when I barely got long enough breaks to pee and eat.

I work 7-3 but I'll do my best to go there directly after work. I might be there by 3:20, which isn't great but not too bad considering.
