    Thought you might appreciate a well spec'd and balanced 599. I picked it up in January and since I have seen quite a few (8) go through my dealer in Switzerland.

    I cant believe how badly most of them have been spec'd. Daytona seats, contrasting calipers, stitching and the Enzo steering wheel are a must. Mono wheels make it sit right and balance the car.

    The black with yellow contrast really looks well on this particular car. As for the car, its something special, lightning fast gear change coupled with the leds on the steering wheel inevitably will lead to a ban, especially in Switzerland.

    Fortunately I live 10km from the German border. Autobahn 5 goes unlimited within another 4 kms of the border and bang she starts flying. Got her up to 192 mph. Fantastic. The noise is incredible from the start up to it screaming at you at 192 mph.

    I have a SLR as well and it used it quite a bit during the last world cup in Germany and it delivered the power in a totally different way. Don't get me wrong once you start pushing it answers all the questions with immense power however it is more of a cruiser and laid back. As for the 599, its aggressive and very bold in its stance and the way it delivers the power.

    Overall, you put them next to each other and the SLR has much more presence. It will also turn more heads. The 599 is a beast and thus very appealing for that character trait.

    Which one do I prefer, fortunately, don't have to make the choice!

    Have a SLR Roadster confirmed, first one in Switzerland. Have a July build with a August delivery. Car will be introduced to the world at the Frankfurt motor show, a few SLR club owners were shown the car last week. Fantastic!!

    I think the SLR roadster will allow the car to be used in it's element-- as it's not inherently as hardcore as other "competators" people generally talk about.

    Congrats on your 599, it looks great!

    Some photos of the inside of the 599. The yellow stitching works really well.

    In response to the question on the Ceramic brakes, they are great. They bite much earlier than the ones on my SLR or Carrera GT. They are more responsive all round and there is no squeal, a problem ceramics have when cold. Although recently resolved on the SLR by Mclaren.

    The dealer is Niki Hasler Ferrari in Basle, I have a few cars on order with him:

    Sept 07 - Grand Turismo coupe
    June 08 - Ferrari Dino
    Jan 09 - 430 replacement
    April 09 - Enzo replacement

    Should be fun!!

    Will post some pics of the SLR, GT and Phantom later.

    Nice spec 599. Black with the Yellow Callipers is a nice contrast, but not too out of place. The car looks spec'd as if its something you'll be using regularly. :) Enjoy

    P.S. if your looking for a low mileage / km Enzo (read your profile), there are a few in the UK at them moment. Two which have never been driven, and another with about 500km on it.
