The RBR and STR teams just seem like a big joke to me. I think they're only there to be moving billboards.

Considering that Honda built a car for over 300 million dollars, only to have it be slower than last years car. Then, their newly formed B team who was consistently finishing last the previous season, takes their car and is actually faster. I'd say that Honda is now the joke of the field, not to mention their overly ironic and somewhat hypocritical livery.

i wonder, if Toyota don't get their act together...Williams will walk over them in the championship.

Well honestly,Toyota performed better than I thought they would. I didn't think they'd qualify as well as they did, and their reliability was good in Melbourne. As far as I can tell it's appears even.Toyota qualified better, but Williams had the better race with Rosberg scoring 2 points to Ralf's 1. I guess i'm pulling more for Williams, since they literally have a fraction of the budget Toyota does.

Taking nothing away from the guy, but if he did the same job but had to drive a Toro Rosso where would all the cries of "new hero" be?

Most Grand Prix drivers will look good in a the right car.

Fact is for the first 2 stints he was holding Alonso up, and once Alonso leapfrogged him at the last pitstop his laps became increasingly erratic as he struggled to keep up. Just look at the stats.

In the harsh face of reality he did exactly was expected of him, if he hadn't been able to beat a BMW or Renault with that car under him on Sunday there would be some doubters. Yes he has a great future. But I just think he did a good solid job and once FA mugged him that was the end of that.

Massa should have done better, look at his lap times as well, never under the 27's.

I just re-watched the race and noticed that at the end during the cool down lap, Kimi was getting congratulated over the radio. I though Kimi said it did not work throughout the race? Did it magically get fixed or do F1 cars have two channel radios, one encrypted for private coms and a public com?

    Interesting.

I would think that if they lost radio com they would have switched to a public channel if that was an option. Very strange.

Maybe the broadcaster's scanners could pick it up, but Kimi never heard it? I know that's happened at NASCAR races, where everyone in the stands with a scanner could hear the crew chief but the driver could not.
