DB4GT Zagato replica

I noticed Brooklands in VIC are selling DB4 Zagato replicas based on a donor DBS. This is one car I've lusted after but now worth squillions so it ain't ever happening for me. Anyone seen the replicas or know anything else about them?

They had a black one at Phillip Island and again at the GP. I must say I thought it looked pretty stunning even though my attention was drawn to other cars around it. Part of that reason might be that I knew it was a replica. I'll try to find some photos I took of it.

 

I am no expert on Astons though I am broadly familiar with the Zagato in question. I saw it at the GP and it certainly looked like a passable replica in my eyes. No doubt an Aston aficionado could pick it to bits though

 

They describe it as a "silhouette" rather than a replica. Good way to get rid of some excess stock DBS cars which have never been popular. Most running around suffer from the usual "deferred" maintenance problems much like 400 series Ferraris. Now if only someone would come up with a 250GTswb replica based on a 400....

 

if it's from Brooklands i wouldn't go near it. they ****ed me over on a deal with a 356. once was enough.

oh a awful little man.When my business was booming in the 90s he was always over me.Met him when I was down on my luck and gave me the once over,2 years latter I bought the Aston of P.S.Laughed all the way home.

A chap called David Levy in Sydney has built a 250-ish car out of a 400. It was a major engineering task because the 400 is much wider than the 250 series cars were. The result is quite interesting though, was at the Darling Harbour display and written up recently in the national journal as "That Yellow Car".

One day I'd like to build a FIAT Ottovu replica out of Horse's 308

He is a mate of mine and a fantastic bloke. I think he is totally genuine, a great salesman, car enthusiast and race car driver. I would buy a car off him any day of the week.
