Did you see this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OL2HF-sFLnc&eurl=http%3A%2F%2Fjalopnik%2Ecom%2F Yikes, Ferrari ego isn't just in this forum!
This has been discussed for the past 5 days in the racing forum: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=143054
Well, Audi got first, but Ferrari got 2nd overall, and first in class, I believe. Watch the video and you'll understand how.
The winner was way ahead of those guys. F was the winner of the two that were bumping and grinding to the finish. Hmm, racing NASCAR style I guess.
Joining this thread late in the game. Like others here, I've driven Sebring many times, in a variety of cars. I thought ducking inside the Porsche was the logical, and perhaps only move for the Ferrari. It got a little rough on the very high speed, drift to the wall exit - so what? Protests seem to be the last refuge of those who can't win on the track. Cheating? Give me a break.
That was a bit sleazy, even if Ferrari did win. IMO it should come down to the better driver and/or car. Pushing a competitor towards the wall intentionally is not the way to win.
no, no don't post what you don't know. i think there were a few audis, porches and corvettes ahead of the gt2 finishers. They weren't even in the top 10 overall. gotta love when an idiot comes on here ferrari-bashing and has no idea what he is talking about. you look like an idiot. go back to the corvette board. and consider using google to check your facts before you post. it's free. you might also want to try your search button when on this board.
you have to go by class... thats like saying you're a4 came in 1st in it's class, but 2nd overall because it lost to M5 .
I drive a Porsche, I love Porsches. Anyhow, that was an incredible finish... I watch the race... all on Speed (NOT YOUTUBE!)... I hang out with all those guys since I've been directing shoots for 7 years in the racing community (IRL-ALMS-CHAMP CAR). The finish was amazing and well deserved that's my opinion. ALMS awarded the win and that's not my opinion, it's a fact. The race is over. Giovanni Risi wins... yeah go RISI!
Strictly BS. Sorry but you are WRONG on all counts. The XM Acura of AGR finished second overall. AND . . . Ferrari DID NOT CHEAT as you profess that they did. There's plenty of discussion on this subject on the racing thread focusing on what really happened in the final lap of the race. (If you even watched part of it, you would see that it was one helluva race from beginning to end. To start last on the grid and finish first in P2, take the penalties assessed and win by .20 seconds after 12 hard hours is a compliment to all the team members, most especially Jaime Melo for double and half stinting). Please get your facts straight before calling a team cheaters. If you are so sour about Ferrari, you may want to go solicit conversation from a different forum. Thank you. Carol (I was there in Sebring at the start/finish line listening to John Hindy's broadcast and well as Risi team radio.)
(I was there in Sebring at the start/finish line listening to John Hindy's broadcast and well as Risi team radio.)[/QUOTE] Lucky Bastard. That is some good old school driving. He used what he had left and did what he had to do to win. Must have been cool to have a front row seat!!
