    ok, I have the plastic radio surround plate off, that just snapped off. Now any clues on radio removal? Do I need a DIN radio removal tool (heard of those, but never used one before)? Also looking to remove the whole cluster to remove the classy Ferrari sticky finish, anybody done this before? I removed 4 screws, 2 from the top of the cluster and 2 just above the radio. With those out...it still doesn't budge. Help!

    You'll need some sony "keys" to take out that radio...or you could make your own. You'll need to make 2 slot type pieces about 4 inches long and 1/2 inch high. Stick those into the slots on the sides of the radio and it will release the locking tabs for the cage of the radio. You will then be able to slide the radio out with an L pick or hook pick.

    As for the whole console, I don't know...

    ah ha, thanks. Always best to get the right tool for the job, I'll try to track those down.

    If you don't have a local car stereo shop around, you can just head down to a best buy or circuit city and ask and of the installers for the keys. They have a ton of those things and they probably let you have them for free.

    Nope, for now just a clean and paint - found a spray on plasti-cote that looks absolutely perfect, and the price is right!
