Here's a pic of how I play. As you can see, I play left-handed, but on a RIGHT-HANDED (and strung) guitar. This isn't like Jimmy who strung it lefty. You see, I have a twin brother, and in jr high he had a guitar. He's right handed, I'm southpaw. I picked it up one day, and once I let out the first notes of Come As You Are, I couldn't put it down. So I taught myself, but backwards.
This makes more sense to me sometimes though. Not for lightning fast solos, those end up being obviously tricky. But the basic chords definately make better sense to me the way I play them, hands are in more natural positions.

I've seen some other people play like this - most recently someone named Doyle with Eric Clapton. Anyone know any other players like this? Please let me know!

Also, does anyone know any good websites about guitar maintenance/ technique/ etc? I've been to a bunch, but would still like to find something better. I have a simple candy red mexi strat and a Jackson Kelly KE-10 Pro. I still don't know how to change the strings on the damn thing(floyd rose). I'd like to stop paying other people to intonate my guitar. HELP!

Also, here's a pic of my set up for now(just moved into new home, but will get everything together soon).

Just google Floyd Rose and string changing and you should find tons of sites, once you learn how to do it yourself (may take once or twice) it's pretty easy and the benefits of the Floyd are great.

I've been to tons of sites, was hoping someone here might know some specific ones that are better than the ones I've been to. Any ideas?

    A few key tips:

    1. If you are floating the FR, be sure to use a block/wedge between the guitar and the underside of the FR.

    2. Always change one string at a time.

    3. Once you set it up for a specific guage strings and pitch, you cannot change either without another setup. So don't try to go from Eb to Standard. Likewise, you will need to re-set up your guitar if you switch from 10-46 to heavier or lighter sets such as 11-52 or 9-42.

Guitar World, a few months ago, put a tutorial on their CD on how to properly change strings on a FR. YouTube might have the video.

+1 be sure to put the block to stop the trem from floating, then just replace each string one at a time retuning them after each one is replaced. It also helps if you can pre-stretch the strings so that they don't stretch out after you put them on the bridge, this will seriously mess with your intonation if the strings stretch to different lengths after you install them all.

If you're intonation is messed up before you change the strings I'd recommend just getting it setup by a guitar tech and then trying to change them the next time you need new ones. Personally I prefer to have a tech do it the first time because I don't have the tools to mess with the little saddles and the patience to intonate everything. However I do change the strings myself after it's all set up correctly the first time.
