    Hello ClassicFerrari,
I ran into Rob Myers (RM founder) today and we talked briefly re: the F40. This 1987 Ferrari F40 serial # 74049 has 912 km's on it. The first 600 km's were put on it by Enzo himself !!! Yes this was his personal car ! It was later purchased by an American investor who brought it from Europe to the US where it was stored until now. RM has it in their showroom and as mentioned earlier will be auctioned off at the Maranello Factory May 20. It has never been licensed in North America. No emissions. It will be legal in Europe. Unfortunately it will be on a plane sooner than our gathering on May 12. Estimates are 1 million + for the sale of this historic car. Rob explained that there will be some Ferraris in the showroom as always for our tour.
    Larry

Steve, maybe John *Jhollywood* and you meet at my place and we meet up Newman on the way up and do the drive all together. We will have to leave early for sure to get there by 11ish. I would say hit the road for 7:30am, and then take a pee break half way up and then meet up with F40Carlo.
    Thoughts ?

Just as a potentially money-saving fyi for you GTA guys who don't venture west of Kitchener too often, the Kitchener to Windsor (1 hour past RM) stretch of the 401 has a very high concentration of our friends in the white Crown Victorias. It actually gets worse from London to Windsor due to all the carnage in years past.

Come early May, they'll be chomping at the bit to test their new radar toys and a convoy of Ferraris will make them think Christmas came early :)

(ask Rick to go first to draw them out of their hiding places :))

Sounds like a plan. My car is in getting serviced at FoO right now...the timing is perfect.

Its going to be a long, boring 401-type drive. Not the forested twisties where we usually go cruising....we've been spoiled the last few drives.
