It looks like an Edelbrock or Holley 4-barrel. I've never seen that on a Ferrari.

I think that is an old Ameritech conversion. Looks like the set up pictured in a reprint of an old article I have in the Car and Driver portfolio of Ferrari from late 70's and early 80's

Dug out the book. This is from Car and Driver on Ferrari 1976-1983 available from Brooklands Books. On page 68 from C and D Aug 1981. It is an Ameritech conversion. Says it is a reworked Carter AFB 4-barrel carburetor. Manufacturer estimates power at 320 bhp. Car and Driver got 0-60 in 5.7 sec, 1-100 in 13.8 and the 1/4-mile in 14.3 seconds @ 102mph.

Yeah..no way no how would I buy a car with spark plugs missing. No f'in way. all it takes is a grain of sand to score the cylinder. I smell a rebuild coming soon on that thing.

There was a similar set up on Ebay a while back, just the turbo system...I think someone on here was going to bid on it. I wanted to bid just to get the intake system to do a proper blow through system with throttle bodies...but I would agree, draw through is way old school.

There is another pic with the system fully installed. The sell price is 8400. I wonder if it actually runs.

Lesson #1 If your car has a turbo, take it off before selling on ebay.....LOL!

Lady Valeria asked before buying her Turbo S Beetle....I told her it was the same thing as lighting both ends of a candle at once.....go for it!

I'm sure we'll be renting the chain hoist a month after the warranty expires!
