Silver Ford GT under I-10 overpass at Seigen Lane.
It was waitng to get on the inerstate and APPEARED to be working fine. Wouldn't have been surprised to see a tow truck though!
Saturday night, Slidell parking lot...red 308, black 328, red TR. Thanks Kelly and Frank, great talking to you.
Friday morning there was an older red Ferrari (I wasn't close enough to tell what model) exiting I-12 at Drusilla. Today there was a silver Elise on Highland under I-10.
I just found out a red 360 lives near my momma's house. Saw it on causeway near jefferson highway in metry.
I was told that there is four 612s in the area. I found that surprising. Lindsey had a black 612 that was pretty nice looking- after market exhaust sounded much better then the stock one at the FFQC. That is a big car.
Today on I-10 West bound in New Orleans East I saw a truck pulling an enclosed trailer with "Italian Motors" on the side. Perhaps an Fcar heading home after Sebring? I Googled it and found a company that went from selling Yugos and Maseratis to being a major karting supplier... http://www.italianmotors.com/italian_motors/?pg=history
black (think so anyways its was pretty dirty) Continental GT in Houma at what looked like a CPA or lawyers office off of W. Tunnel Blvd.
Copeland's SLR on a trailer with his Escalade and one of his bikes. Blocked the intersection at Causeway and Vets for 30 minutes because the rig he was following, which was carrying one of Copeland's boats, hit a van while turning.
Glad to hear there is an SLR in town. Thanks to the French Quarter Classic I've seen a few Enzos and a Porsche GT but no SLR yet. RE: boat...Reminds me of the time a few years ago there was an article in the paper about one of Copeland's boats and how it could break some type of world record. It was either the very next day or at least the same week the thing caught on fire on the lake; not totaled but severe damage to the engine area.
Two years ago his SLR was parked in front of his house in metairie during his Christmas display. I think a Bentley was out there with it. In the driveway was the biggest great dane I've ever seen.
Me and my girlfriend saw the SLR this past Christmas in front of his house. I think I still have a blurry shot of it on my phone. Pretty sweet
LOL! I saw it too, right before though. Had that fugly orange chopper in front IIRC. He was just pulling out from in front of his "Ego Shop" when I went by. Dave
Just got back from the British Car Show at Delgado. Mostly MGs and Trimuphs with a fair number of Jags, Austin Healeys and Minis. Also had 4 or 5 Lotus Espirits and an Elise. Surprised to see a Delorean; I guess its the Ireland connection. The car's license plate is "88 MPH." The owner said that's the speed at which you changed years in the movie Back to the Future. After leaving the show my son spotted a black "Jaguar" parked at Tad Gromley. On closer inspection it turned out to be an Aston Marin DB9; very sharp but in passing it did look very much like the black XK8 on display at the car show.
My neighbor is one of Copeland's personal Jet Pilots. He tells some really crazy stories. He recently got to drive the SLR in Las Vegas! It seems that when Al travels to Vegas and stays there a few days, he has some of his cars tranported by truck so he'll have something cool to drive on the "strip". My neighbor drove the SLR from where it was unloaded by the airport to Caesar's Casino. When he got out of the car there was a crowd, including photographers, and he was treated like a king. At least until they found out it wasn't his car!
