Never had any work done with him personally, but I did stop by his shop once to meet him, introduce myself and my car, and just sort of "feel him out." My impressions were all favorable - he seems abundantly competent, he had a wide array of cars in the shop across the price range, and was able to answer any and every question I had for him. I wouldn't hesitate to use him when the time comes...

    Best -

He used to work on my 355, did a great job. Have not needed him yet on my 360, but I would not hesitate. Dan

Juan is tip notch! Has restored several Dinos from ground up that have won awards at Concorso Italiano and Pebble. I've been taking my car to him for many years..very competent, fair priced.

Brian Crall in San Ramon is also excellent with many years of experience, also very competent..

Two BIG Thumbs Up from me!!!

Juan's shop does excellent work, and he is very price competititve.
When he takes your car in, you know it is not just going to sit there. He provides a very good turnaround time.

My Ferrari has taken the FCA National Meet Coppa Bella Macchina award (the most stringent competition for Ferarris I know of requires everything work 100% via very rigourous hours long examination, and also has to have received 95 points or higher Platinum Award in the National Concours) three years in a row thanks to Juan.

Gil, I didn't know you were as big of fan of Juan as a lot of us in the south bay. Juan always to seem to have time for his customers, and always makes you feel you are is only customer. It's a great way to run a business and he understands this.

Besides, he has some of the best working and technical knowlege of Ferrari and American classics. It's amazing to see all of the cars he has worked on over the years I have been doing business with him.

Personally, I have had no complaints with work or ethics in the time we have had business. It seems when you "have to have it" it gets done!

    Juan Rocks!

You will not find a more knowledgeable, competent or honest man to trust your "baby" too. Juan has been working on Ferrari's since he was a teenager and he knows what is correct/original for a show car, or what the quirks & weaknesses are of pretty much anything you can drive or tow in. His diagnostics skills are first rate and his labor rate is very competitive. I used to work in the same building with Juan and he has worked on my 'merican car.
The cars are fixed right the first time and I was constantly amazed with the speed at which that occured.
It is rare in today's hectic business world to find true professionals with old school values. Depending on where you are in the Bay Area, I have the utmost confidence and complete trust in Juan @ Grand Prix, Brian Crall in San Ramon, and last but not least, Tony Palladino @ Modena Motors in Redwood City. The phone numbers are 408-364-0881 for Juan, Brian's is 925-552-9700 and Tony's is 650-368-5819.
Sorry about the numbers thing, I can't help it. :)

You all are great! My Dino should be down at Juan's place shortly, for a going over before shipping out to me. I don't think I've seen such positive reviews for anything short of a top OB/GYN!!!!

Really, those comments put me totally at ease. Too bad he's not in the NYC area! I'll be researching someone hereabouts in the next couple of weeks.

Sorry for the delay in the post. Been busy gaining weight in Paris!!
