AVA Restoration has another car for sale, this time a 1984 Ferrari 512 BBI Boxer Berlinetta. This very clean example of a classic italian supercar is all original and has only 22,000 miles! In June '03 it had a new clutch package installed, along with a complete service, including belts. It has only been driven 50 miles since then.

This car still has the original Pioneer sound system, books and tools. All service, EPA and DOT records are available. VIN: ZFFJA09B000052659

This seems a little cheap. Has the car ever been wrecked?

No wrecks to my knowledge... I'm listing it for my shop so if you want a full rundown, call us and talk to Alex, he knows what's up.

I've been warned that listing cars for sale here might be seen as a little uncouth so I appologize in advance to anyone it might upset. I just really want to see this beauty find a nice home! I would have bought it myself if most of my free time (and finances) weren't already consumed by my BMW project.

If this is a real car it won't last long at that price! Be worth buying just to flip it.

Precisely why it's being sold, it needs a good home with someone who has the time to drive it. :)

Mine went 60 kms in 10 years and a tad more over the next 5 hence the owner sold it but at least he kept doing the belts every 5 years.

S/N 52659 is among the last few cars. It's practically a sister car to fchatter 'jim' (S/N 52657).

I agree, when it gets a little less muddy here I'll try to get to out to a good location and get some hi-rez photos. Not only will that help sell it but I love car photography and some good Ferrari shots would look good in my portfolio. :)

New Hampshire, and yes, it can be seen. If you're interested you should talk to my boss, Alex, he's spent a lot more time with it than I have. Our shop number is (866) 563-8910 or you can email him at [email protected].

I guess this will really depend on what maintenance the new owner would think it needs coming out of relative 'storage'. The price may/may not be that far off. At January Barrett-Jackson, AJ Foyt's 512 sold on the block for $75K. Was in nice condition, and despite the hype at J-B and the celeb prior owner, garnered a price in this range.

This one deserves adequate homework, too. Not necessarily a layup.

At that price if it is a good car, it could be a good buy for a european buyer. One of my friends and a client of his travelled to california a few months ago to buy two De Tomaso Mangustas, and they are not the only buyers of US based cars I know of. Current exchange rates due to the weak dollar means that UK and Euro buyers can find good value in the US.
