does anyone know where i can find an aftermarket or used windshield preferably in the los angeles area also, what would be a fair price to pay thanks Jess
thanks for the info it will make it easier locating one i just have a question will all 348 windshields fit the 355's or just some specific 348 windshields. i need one for a 99 spider thanks Jess
There was a guy trying to sell some on ebay about 2 years ago. He was in the Tampa Florida area and I didnt see him getting any sales. I emailed him back then just to have a spare around and he wanted $1,800 US for a new OEM shield.
The glass is very expensive. $2,400.00 for 360's. I'd have to look-up what the 348/355 glass is, but don't expect cheap! I am sure trying to find one is not easy. Try http://www.silverstarrecycling.com/ and get to the Ferrari section. It's also Italian Recycling in Sacramento, CA. I have to believe that shipping the glass is not cheap, and it has to be quite a liability as well.
It's not only the glass that is expensive, the metal trim around the glass will more than likely need to be replaced too. The last time I saw the price on it it was 700.00 and the windsheild was 1800.00. As far I know there are no aftermarket people doing glass for 348s or 355s. don't you have glass coverage on your insurance?
How did you go Jess, sort something out? Now come on and tell us why do you need a replacement windsheild Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yea....good luck on trying to get the gasket and metal trim out in reuseable shape.....I have come close a few times but never quite made it..... There is an aftermarket supplier for the glass....can't find the phone#, but you may want to give Lyle Tanner a call at Ferrari Parts Exchange.....if you go with OEM(only difference is the little prancing horse painted logo) get it from Daniel.
when i bought my windshield for my 348 i paid around 750 bucks or something like that but i got very lucky !!! shop around !!
