Had the 308 out this morning. I hit a bed frame in the road on a sharp 90 degree curve on a state highway. Yep. she's(my 308) hurting. more details here

I'm fine. the car isn't. Nobody else except an unlucky cement barrier was invovled. I only left some paint behind & shattered rim metal. I'll post pics after the adjuster sees it.

Anyway, I've never had to deal with NJM for a no-fault. What do I have to deal with? I have a police report (shortly) that says the bedframe was in the road. I have lots of pics. I'm concerned about the amount of damage. Pretty much the whole drivers side was scaped, dented from head to stern.

    Thanks in advance,
    Clyde

Hi Clyde, really good nobody was hurt.
That really stinks man! I just watched the news last night that there are like 10000 or something accidents per year caused by road debris hazards. People are getting less careless with the way they load there vehicles.

Anyway, I dont think they have "loss of value" coverage. ( I could be wrong but I never heard of it)
I guess now you have to find a reputable shop to fix it up better than the way it was.

    Good luck.

    SH*T!!!!!!!

So sorry to hear about this Clyde.

I'm sure you will be fully covered without issue from NJM.

Think of it as an opportunity to clean up any chips you may have had prior to the incident.

    Regardless...this just stinks.

    Keep us posted.

I was at the shop in New Jersey when you arrived with the rest of the guys for the photo shoot. The car is pretty bad but luckily you came out of it without a scratch.....of course that's the priority... Well I am sure your insurance will take care of the rest.. Good luck..

    Sorry Clyde.
S....t happens. We were waiting for you to come and were surprised that you were late since you never are. And than I thought that something happened but did not allow myself to think too much about it.
Insurance will pay and, please, do not bother with any other shops, go to the Wide World of cars. They fixed Marcello and I am very satisfied. They will do all chips etc. as one package. Cara will be even more beautiful:) And they do it fast. Call Justin 845-425-2600. The insurance adjustor will be happy to go there, because they will provide him with real prices. Insurance companies do not have our cars on their computers and can not do an estimate.
I am glad that you are OK:)

It was heartbreaking to see the car. Clyde, as is to be expected, showed up with a smile on his face and an "c'est la vie" attitude.

Best of luck Clyde, and my shotgun is always open should you want to come on a run while your car is down.

    i am so sorry buddy
the car looks bad, it looked like you cracked a couple of things.
Hopefully Steve at arena could tell you tomorrow if it can be repaired, or it's a total loss.
If it's gone you can always buy jawads 308.
i know what it is to loose a car you love.
    best of luck my friend.

WHAT THE F*CK?!?! Oh my... Well, first and definitely foremost, Clyde I am so glad you are alright.

Second, DAMN! I'm so so so sorry to hear that. As a fellow 308er and a friend, I am truly sorry this happened and I hope whatever the ultimate result is it isn't too painful (hard to imagine it not being painful).

Is there anything I can do?? If you want to drive my car for a while, you are more than welcome to. Just consider her your own. I'll tell Steve to give you the keys if you like.

Anyway, I'll give you a buzz soon. So sorry to hear about Cara and let me know if there's anything you need from Philly.

    Best,
    J.

I'll let Clyde fill in the details; but it looked pretty bad. I was surprised to see that his little 308 absorbed the damage well. Looks like the front left tire, suspension, and maybe the frame took the brunt of impact. Cosmetically the car does not look bad at all!

I'm stunned. I saw her after I got back from Ludmilla's run in CT. Ouch. Feel free to PM me if you need anything.

Jawad: A very, very generous offer. Kudos. Seriously.

Glad you're OK. Hope the 308 is repairable and back on the road soon. Rotten way to start the season! Nothing scares me more than a car or minivan tearing down the road with a mattress and bedspring tied to the roof with the worlds cheapest twine (often with the drivers hand out the window holding the mattress for extra security and enhanced vehicle control) Along with these clowns we'll soon see the plastic wading pools tied to the roof of cars full of sweating kids. Again tied on with six feet of twine and usually bent in half by the slipstream. Of course proper protocol. should the driver loose one of these on the road is to drive on like nothing happened. All this to save the delivery charge. Guess someone is sleeping on the floor tonight!

    Hey Glad,

The number one thing is you're OK! Cars can be fixed and I’m sure you will have the 308 back on the road in no time. Again, sorry to hear about what happen.
