I just bought a 360 spider and need insurance. I only drive 2500 miles a year. I have a quote from Leland West but it's not that great. Any other suggestions on Insurance companies for rarely driven cars? I'm checking with AAA.

I have USAA and pay about the same for the 360. The only insurance company to give rebates at the end of the year!!!

I'm with State Farm and pay $1,710 per year for my CS. Where you live, deductible's, coverage, age, driving record and the like will effect the price. If you do a search there's much information available. :)

Truly! USAA is the best. I'm 30 with a good driving record (1-2 speeding tickets in the last 10 years). My insurance is about $1K and they give me a yearly rebate check at the end of the year. ...can't beat that!

Interesting...I had a problem finding insurance at all, much less cheap coverage.

State Farm ended up being the only place willing to take and it is in fact somewhat reasonable given my record.

As an aside, I got the agent to hook me up with her 21 yr old daughter a couple weeks ago... :)

Anyway, "Like a good neighbor, State Farm is there!"

I pay $383.30 per 6 months on the Ferrari. I go through Farmers and have my house and condo insured via them as well.. I also have my SUV on there too (the SUV is $278.20 per 6 months).

I used to use Costco's insurance program for my SUV + Ferrari. It was nearly the same price... but I saved a few bucks a month by switching over to Farmers because Costco couldn't insure my house for its replacement value.

But Costco if very good on car insurance - cheaper than GEICO, which I used to have. I would check with them. I believe they underwrite via Ameriprise, which is an arm of American Express.

Ditto- State Farm is the way to go- just got my 2001 360 spider today. I'm 35 yrs old with a good record and am paying $1200/yr which is much better than I expected. By the way, the car has me speachless and I couldnt be happier. I took some pics today but not so great so will give it another go tomorrow. Cheers!

allstate. You might need to have your home insured with them but they have great coverage, no milage restriction, and cheap. I am in the insurance business and shopped all the markets. They were 1/2 as much as the rest. My 430 spider is written on a replacement cost basis is 2,050 a year. Your 360 would be alot cheaper to insure than that. I also have two tickets and not married.

Here is the best part. If you do not drive your car for more than 30 days they will take all coverage off except comp. So it will be covered for fire, theft and vandelism. When I had my Gallardo and Challenge Stradale at the same time I would just drive one one month then call and re-add the other. For both those cars it cost me only $2,200 a year approx.

    Good Luck
    Mike

Call Drew at classic insurance. 1800 397 0765. They're cheap but have a gangload of restrictions on their policies. Maybe it'll work for you anyway.

    Best regards Peter

We have our cars, house and other random items insured with Allstate and, with a clean driving record, we pay around $1200/year for my 360.
