I have noticed that the back of some 5000 QVs are different specifically around the tail lights. Can someone explain why? The two photos I've attached are both RHD and therefore I assume Euro spec? Was the design changed at some stage during the QVs life? Thanks. Hi Anton,

The first pic is as the car should be. The second pic has a urethane cover developed for the U.S. market to help the car comply with our bumper requirements. I have seen some non-U.S. Countach with this cover, but I could not tell you why they have them. It may have been an item specifically ordered by a non-U.S. customer because the owner wanted some form of bumper. You can remove the urethane piece and put the red glass cover around the lights; some owners here have done this.

    his answer:

Are you talking about the screen? If so, that is a normal, factory installed piece.

To convert a US car, after removing the fiberglass cover, what parts are needed? Was the panel painted before the cover was installed from the factory?
