In regards to letting someone drive an Enzo on a track...??? It's a street car... Not a formula 1 car... and I couldn't think of a better place to let someone drive the car??? Safe, controlled environment with medial personnel on scene... You're right they shouldn't have let him drive on the track... Maybe the 5 Fwy would be better...

I always feel safer with ambulances standing by.........of course the point of a little practice in the vehicle to get the hang of it usually means I won't need them......

Does not matter if it's an Enzo or a kart.......you work up to a hot lap gradually.....

I'll say in his defense the Enzo has so many driver aids I'd be curled up with The Owner's Manual a few days before I even turned my key.....

We have had owner's here posting on features they did not fully understand, the rear spoiler as an example......

I think the 'totaled out' judgement is just Hollywood talk as well, I'd recommend Steve Eghed at Ferrai of Houston's Certified Facility,....they have done far worse........

Why hate on a guy that puts up his multi million dollar car collection to make an amazaing movie... who knows if the plot is going to be spectacular... but it will be awesome to watch in THX in a theater, an Enzo and CGT race to Vegas!!

I do pay atention to what I write. In my post I spoke about calling members of F-chat names. Furthermore, whomever set up the course made a major mistake (as is being discussed in the general chat area) because they put up a concrete barrier on a turn! Finally, your comment about the 5 freeway is, in my opinion, another personel dig which is not appreciated. Please try to make the effort to be respectful.

Someone crashed a car and many here get their panties in a wad,WHY?

Unless you were going to buy the car on the day of the crash how does this affect you ? How does this crash affect the quality of your life?

BFD he was a moron and crashed. At least it was being driven (albeit badly).

Get a life and worry about other things.

It's a California thing-first assign a motive, attitude and skills to someone else (driver, politician, adversary, etc), then judge those motives, attitudes, and skills, thus making oneself a clairvoyant expert! Why mind one's own business when it's so much more fun to mind someone else's?

 

Actually we take these things seriously for many reasons. there have been more than 9 car crashes in the last 12 months were there were espianage, drugs, theft, Murder, murder for hire, teenage tragedy, cars lost in rallys, movies and just plain stupidity. When some idiot wraps his honda civic arround a telephone pool no one heres about it arround the world. However when its an expensive car like the teenage drunk girl hitting killing herself at the toll booth or the ass hat in the enzo in malibu it affects our insurance and how law inforcement as well as society looks at people with these types of machines. It is more complicated than what it seems on the surface. JJ

2. (Stephan Erickson) Infamous Malibu Crash
3. (the guy on the Utah Rally) Last summers crash
4. (The guy that started Nextel) last fall crashed into a Tree and burned to death up in the bay area
5.( Eddy Griffith) The most recent crash

Other High profile crashes include

1. The Kid in the 360 with the nanny
2. The Police officer in his Testerossa
3. The Ass Hat with the Lambo crashing into 4 parked cars in Santa Monica
4. The drunk teenage girl in the Porsche that hit the Toll Booth on the 241
5. the guy last week that hit a pole and his car exploded that no one can seem to find a picture of

The better question is why would the organizers of this event (or any track event)set the barrier up that close to a turn on an auto cross course? Why then would the owner of an Enzo let an untrained driver take it out on such a course?
