You should buy Tom Wheatcrofts autobiography. Great read about his life, the Donnington collection and the resurrection of the race circuit. I suspect his anti-authoritarian outlook will strike a chord with you Interesting fact from the book- he was a WW2 soldier in the invasion of Europe. He and his tank crew actually robbed a bank in Germany by popping an explosive shell through the front door and driving the Sherman tank into the foyer. This persuaded the manager to open the vault rather than necessitate an armour piercing round doing the job. They took off with the cash and the loot helped Wheatcroft set up his post war building business that made him his fortune. I seem to remember seeing that portrayed in a hollywood movie, can anyone remember the movie? FWIW, a number of the cars in his collection came from Australia and New Zealand. They were left here after they were used in the Tasman and other race series. Gone, never to return like so many other great cars Anyway, an interesting read for anyone so inclined.
Three Kings, but that was Iraq post-Desert Storm, I thought we were looking for Germany Maybe they robbed the Baghdad branch of Deutsche Bank
